Para mejorar el desempeño de los SIA alcanzando sus objetivos, es necesario contar con un método que permita estimar la confiabilidad de los planes generados antes de su ejecución. Este proceso se llama ponderación de planes, y ha sido aplicado con éxito en trabajos anteriores. En esta tesis se propone un nuevo algoritmo de ponderación de planes con el objetivo de mejorar el rendimiento (porcentaje de planes exitosos), aumentar la generalidad del conocimiento adquirido y acelerar el proceso de aprendizaje. Autonomous intelligent systems (AIS) learn from their environment by forming theories about how the environment reacts to system’s actions. These theories can be shared with other agents. Each AIS uses the theories it has acquired to planning. This means building plans (actions sequences) that allow it to reach its auto-proposed objectives. In order to improve the performance of the AIS reaching their objectives, it is necessary to have a method that allows estimating the reliability of the generated plans before their execution. Such a process is called weighing of plans, and has been successfully applied in previous works. In this thesis, a new algorithm for weighing of plans is proposed with the goals of improving the performance (percentage of successful plans), increasing the generality of the acquired knowledge, and accelerating the learning. Este trabajo presenta una primera evaluación del nuevo sistema de monitoreo de vibraciones Wireless desarrollado en conjunto entre el Laboratorio de Dinámica de Estructuras y el Departamento de Electrónica de la Facultad en términos de su capacidad para ser utilizado en la actualización de modelos computacionales de puentes a partir de ensayos dinámicos. En primer lugar se discuten las técnicas de caracterización dinámica de estructuras a partir del análisis modal operacional en el dominio de la frecuencia. También se estudian algunas de las metodologías de actualización de modelos disponibles en la literatura, poniendo énfasis en aquellas empleadas en puentes. Luego, se lleva adelante la caracterización de los sensores que componen el nuevo sistema de monitoreo, comparando su desempeño contra el de acelerómetros comerciales comúnmente utilizados en el Laboratorio. Dado que las técnicas de caracterización dinámica más robustas exigen que las mediciones de los distintos puntos de la estructura estén perfectamente sincronizadas, se evalúa también la calidad de la sincronización que permite el sistema Wireless y su estabilidad en el tiempo. Las pruebas sugieren que el rango de frecuencias en el que mejor desempeño presenta este nuevo sistema es adecuado para llevar adelante la caracterización dinámica de estructuras civiles. Las técnicas de caracterización dinámica y las metodologías de actualización de modelos se implementan en dos etapas: en un modelo de pequeñas dimensiones en el marco controlado de un laboratorio y en un puente real. Ambas estructuras, pudieron ser caracterizadas experimentalmente a partir de ensayos dinámicos con el nuevo sistema Wireless; se obtuvieron las frecuencias y los modos de vibración naturales. Posteriormente, sus modelos computacionales son actualizados de forma automatizada variando ciertas características del modelo hasta lograr que los parámetros modales experimentales y analíticos coincidan. De esta forma se obtiene un modelo numérico actualizado que refleja de mejor manera el comportamiento real de la estructura. Se ha determinado que los nuevos sensores desarrollados son adecuados para la caracterización de estructuras con frecuencias naturales menores a los 20 Hz, lo cual es aceptable en estructuras civiles. Este trabajo presenta un estudio integral de las vibraciones registradas en las inmediaciones de distintas autopistas de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, evaluando el impacto de la operación de éstas en zonas altamente pobladas, en base a las vibraciones producidas, sus características y los principales factores que inciden en su magnitud. Se realiza una introducción de la forma de propagación de las vibraciones en el terreno, cómo se las caracteriza y cómo las distintas normativas -tanto nacionales como internacionales- evalúan el efecto que éstas tienen en el desarrollo de la vida urbana. Luego se diseña y realiza una extensa campaña de medición a lo largo de la traza de las Autopistas 25 de Mayo y Perito Moreno. El objetivo de la campaña fue, en primer lugar, medir el nivel de vibraciones existente en las inmediaciones de la autopista y establecer si los valores obtenidos son admisibles en términos de confort y de daño estructural y cosmético según distintas normativas, construyendo una Línea de base de vibraciones. En segundo lugar, determinar que proporción de lo medido corresponde efectivamente a la autopista y que a otras fuentes; y en tercer lugar, definir cuáles son los factores que influyen en la magnitud de las vibraciones producidas por la operación de la autopista (juntas, tipos de vehículos, etc.). Se logró establecer que, para el caso de confort, las vibraciones producidas pueden ser percibidas pero que es poco probable que produzcan molestias en las personas que habitan en las inmediaciones a la autopista; y que, para el efecto sobre las estructuras, no existirán daños de ningún tipo a las edificaciones, siempre que no sean edificios históricos ni estructuras informales para las cuales no se tiene información. Además, se concluyó que el subterráneo genera mayores niveles de vibración que la autopista, pero debido al rango de percepción de las personas -entre 0,5Hz y 80Hz- la influencia en el confort es similar; en cambio, para el caso del efecto sobre las estructuras la influencia es similar. Luego, se determinó que la estructura de la autopista elevada genera una modificación de las características de las vibraciones producidas por el tráfico vehicular (cuya magnitud depende principalmente de los camiones) y que las juntas amplifican las vibraciones producidas por los vehículos. Con el objetivo de buscar la causa de la modificación del espectro de frecuencias se realizó un modelo estructural dinámico. Por último, se analizaron distintas medidas de mitigación de vibraciones. Este estudio explora las habilidades de las redes neuronales convolucionales (CNN) en la detección de crisis epilépticas en electroencefalogramas intracraneales (iEEG), utilizando la arquitectura VGG16. Describimos el desarrollo de CNN con el objetivo de emular la capacidad de un epileptólogo en la interpretación de iEEG, aunque dicha CNN también podría utilizarse para en EEG convencionales. La red se entrena para identificar tres estados relacionados con las crisis: “crisis inminente”, “peligro de crisis” y “fuera de peligro”, representados por los colores “rojo”, “amarillo” y “verde” respectivamente. Se emplea Python para procesar los datos y transformarlos en un problema de aprendizaje supervisado. En el marco de pandemia del COVID-19 y ante un posible escenario de mayor necesidad en el área de la salud, la UBA diseñó y fabricó dispositivos de bajo costo y rápida disponibilidad. Proyecto RespirAr UBA es un proyecto puesto en marcha por un grupo de docentes e investigadores de la Universidad de Buenos Aires y de otras instituciones, impulsado por el Departamento de Ingeniería Mecánica de la Facultad de Ingeniería con el objetivo de dar respuesta a la necesidad de equipamiento de asistencia respiratoria de tipo mecánico. Uno de los recursos faltantes con más frecuencia en los países que han llegado al escenario de catástrofe han sido los ventiladores mecánicos y muchos pacientes con chances de sobrevivir fallecieron por falta de equipos para darles soporte [3]. A partir de marzo del 2020 diversos organismos y asociaciones de la salud publicaron guías y recomendaciones sobre el uso de recursos de la salud en diferentes medios de todas partes del mundo. En particular, especialistas argentinos recomiendan la ventilación manual por parte de familiares o voluntarios cuando un paciente requiere asistencia ventilatoria [4]. Esto implica que una persona se quede al lado del paciente 24hs por día accionando el AMBU [5]. A su vez, recomiendan protocolos de atención pediátrica con requerimientos estrictos para Ventilación Mecánica No Invasiva en pacientes de corta edad para tratar cuadros de infección respiratoria aguda [6] , demostrando la importancia de este tipo de equipos. Con todo esto, queda claro que los artefactos de ventilación respiratoria son cruciales y de alta demanda en el tratamiento de pacientes hospitalizados por Covid 19. Por otra parte, algunos especialistas han encontrado otros usos útiles para este tipo de respirador, no necesariamente ligado al Covid 19. Por ejemplo, los respiradores de traslado de los cuales se conocen algunas pocas alternativas [7][8][9] cuyo costo y tiempos de adquisición es alto. El proyecto RespirAr está inspirado en otros proyectos de investigación como el Emergency Ventilator del MIT[10], el proyecto open source OpenLung Emergency Medical Ventilator[11] o la construcción de espirómetros de bajo presupuesto[12]. Estos proyectos continúan en progreso y reciben contribuciones constantes. Asimismo, el trabajo en conjunto con organismos como el SATI (Sociedad Argentina de Terapia Intensiva) o el INTI (Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial) impone cumplir estándares y requisitos para superar las pruebas de calidad y seguridad a nivel general del sistema, no solo del software.
