Esta tesis propone una gestión sustentable de los neumáticos fuera de uso (NFU) para la flota tercerizada del Grupo Logístico Andreani (GLA) bajo los lineamientos de la economía circular. Partiendo de un diagnóstico sobre el reciclaje de los NFU en Argentina y los riesgos ambientales asociados, se ha identificado que la mayoría de las cubiertas se dispone de forma indebida y solo alrededor del 10% recibe un tratamiento adecuado. Por ello, se analizaron los métodos de disposición de una fracción de los transportistas que componen la flota Andreani y, mediante un cuestionario, se ha podido determinar que la mayoría colaboraría en la recuperación ambientalmente responsable de NFU si hubiese centros de acopio locales a su alcance. La propuesta de la investigación se enfoca en aprovechar los NFU para fabricar rodillos de caucho reciclado, los cuales se acoplan mediante una estructura metálica a las defensas viales tradicionales de forma similar al modelo Segurvital español, destacando tanto su efectividad en seguridad vial como en beneficios ambientales. Con el asesoramiento del INTI, se han validado las propiedades del caucho reciclado argentino, obteniendo resultados satisfactorios y asegurando su compatibilidad con estándares internacionales. La investigación concluye que implementar este producto contribuiría a la seguridad de rutas y autopistas, especialmente para motociclistas, y al mismo tiempo reduciría la demanda de nuevos recursos al reciclar el caucho de la flota. Aunque el proyecto no avanzó hacia la implementación, las bases establecidas son claras para una futura adopción, evidenciando que es viable y beneficioso reciclar neumáticos para aplicaciones en infraestructura vial. Con incentivos adecuados a los transportistas y políticas públicas que favorezcan la gestión de NFU a nivel nacional, el GLA podría elevar su compromiso con los estándares ambientales a los que adhiere, sumando el tratamiento de residuos generados de forma indirecta por el desarrollo de su actividad. This thesis proposes a sustainable management approach for end-of-life tires (ELTs) from Grupo Logístico Andreani’s (GLA) outsourced fleet, aligned with circular economy principles. An analysis of Argentina’s ELT recycling practices shows that most tires are discarded improperly, with only about 10% receiving proper treatment. A survey of Andreani’s drivers indicated a strong willingness to participate in responsible ELT recovery if local collection centers were available. The study explores repurposing ELTs to produce rubber rollers, designed to be mounted onto traditional roadside barriers using a metal framework, similar to Spain’s Segurvital model. This innovation enhances safety measures for motorcyclists and promotes environmental benefits. Tests conducted by the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) confirmed that recycled Argentine rubber meets international standards, demonstrating the material's suitability and potential to lessen resource demands by recycling tires from Andreani’s fleet. Although still in early stages, this project lays a foundation for future application, highlighting the feasibility and ecological benefits of tire recycling for infrastructure purposes. With appropriate incentives for transporters and public policies supporting nationwide ELT management, GLA could advance its environmental goals by responsibly handling waste generated through its operations. A lo largo del siglo XXI, la fotogrametría digital experimentó un desarrollo exponencial, impulsado por avances en áreas como la electrónica y la computación. Asimismo, los progresos tecnológicos en el campo de las Aeronaves Tripuladas a Distancia (RPA, por sus siglas en inglés) promovieron el estudio del uso de imágenes aéreas en distintos tipos de relevamientos con fines métricos. En el ámbito profesional de la agrimensura, la fotogrametría digital se emplea para la ejecución de relevamientos topográficos, cartográficos y catastrales. En los últimos años, se ha estudiado su aplicabilidad en el monitoreo de estructuras, preservación del patrimo-nio histórico, generación de modelos digitales de elevación y de terreno con fines topo-gráficos y relevamientos destinados a la actualización del catastro, entre otros casos. En este trabajo se evaluó la efectividad de la fotogrametría con RPA para determinar medidas lineales, superficies justipreciables, georreferenciación y ubicación relativa de accesiones edilicias en un inmueble destinado al desarrollo de un Conjunto Inmobiliario (CI), com-parando los resultados con los obtenidos mediante métodos topográficos clásicos. Como parámetro de control de las diferencias entre ambos métodos, se utilizaron las tolerancias superficiales establecidas para formularios de avalúo pre-incorporados, según la Resolu-ción Normativa Nº 26/2023 de la Agencia de Recaudación de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (ARBA). El estudio se llevó a cabo en una urbanización cerrada del partido de San Vicente, perte-neciente a la tercera corona de la Región Metropolitana de Buenos Aires (RMBA), donde la expansión urbana se orienta principalmente al desarrollo de CI. Se relevaron cinco vi-viendas mediante RPA, realizando tres vuelos fotogramétricos con distintas direcciones y ángulos de toma, y se midieron puntos de control y de apoyo fotogramétrico en el te-rreno. Con los datos obtenidos, se plantearon nueve estrategias de procesamiento combi-nando diferentes conjuntos de imágenes, generando en cada caso una Nube de Puntos Densa (NPD) mediante el software Pix4D Mapper. Cada NPD se analizó de forma inde-pendiente utilizando herramientas de edición en el software CloudCompare (CC), obte-niendo para cada vivienda una proyección bidimensional de los puntos que la describen. Sobre dicha proyección se calculó la densidad de puntos por número de vecinos, gene-rando mapas de calor a través de su rasterización. Estos mapas fueron posteriormente ecualizados en el software QGIS, donde se vectorizaron para obtener las dimensiones lineales y superficiales de las construcciones. Finalmente, se realizó un análisis estadístico de los resultados. Se calcularon las diferencias entre las superficies obtenidas a partir de los mapas de calor y las derivadas de métodos topográficos clásicos, verificando el cumplimiento de las tolerancias establecidas. Asimismo, se determinaron las diferencias lineales entre ambas técnicas, analizándose mediante el ajuste lineal de las distancias, gráficos de dispersión e histogramas. Los resultados muestran que los mapas de calor más precisos se obtuvieron a partir de las nubes de puntos generadas en los procesamientos que utilizaron imágenes capturadas con un ángulo de toma oblicuo. Las diferencias obtenidas para las superficies de las construcciones respecto a las determinadas con métodos topográficos clásicos fueron inferiores al 1.5%, mientras que las diferencias entre las medidas lineales presentaron un desvío estándar promedio de 0.05 m. El análisis realizado muestra que la metodología es muy útil para el relevamiento, georreferenciación y ubicación relativa de las construcciones existentes en un CI, aumentando su eficiencia en urbanizaciones de gran tamaño y con gran cantidad de edificaciones. La presente tesis doctoral se enmarca en el desarrollo de materiales multifuncionales basados en polímeros orientados a aplicaciones estructurales avanzadas, con especial énfasis en la integración de desempeño mecánico y capacidad de monitoreo de daño estructural. En este contexto, el objetivo general fue desarrollar compuestos auto-reforzados empleando mezclas de poliamida 6 (PA6) y poliamida 12 (PA12) con nanotubos de carbono de paredes múltiples (MWCNTs) como matriz, y una tela de tejido plano de PA6.6 como refuerzo, así como analizar la relación entre estructura, procesamiento y propiedades mecánicas y funcionales de dichos compuestos. El trabajo experimental se organizó en dos etapas. En una primera etapa se estudiaron películas basadas en mezclas PA6/PA12 50/50 con distintos contenidos de MWCNTs (0–8 % en peso), empleando un masterbatch de PA12, así como los correspondientes compuestos auto-reforzados obtenidos mediante el apilamiento de dichas películas intercaladas con una tela de tejido plano de PA6.6. Estos materiales se caracterizaron en términos de su morfología, comportamiento térmico, reológico y mecánico, incluyendo ensayos de tracción y fractura. El análisis microestructural evidenció modificaciones significativas en la morfología del sistema con la incorporación de los nanotubos, observándose transiciones desde estructuras tipo isla–mar hacia configuraciones con regiones ricas en nanotubos. En particular, para bajos contenidos de carga se observó una localización preferencial de los MWCNTs en la interfase. Desde el punto de vista mecánico, se registraron cambios en el comportamiento a la fractura, incluyendo la transición desde respuestas frágiles hacia comportamientos completamente dúctiles, así como incrementos de la resistencia y la rigidez en los compuestos auto-reforzados respecto de sus correspondientes matrices. Asimismo, esta primera etapa permitió identificar que la composición 50/50 presenta una respuesta mecánica compleja, asociada a un comportamiento mecánico dual, lo que motivó profundizar el estudio del sistema desde el punto de vista de la conductividad eléctrica y la percolación de la red de nanotubos. En la segunda etapa se abordó el estudio sistemático del umbral de percolación eléctrica en mezclas PA6/PA12 75/25, empleando un masterbatch de PA6. Se desarrollaron nanocompuestos con contenidos de MWCNTs de hasta 11 % en peso y se realizaron caracterizaciones morfológicas, térmicas, reológicas y eléctricas. En este marco, se determinó la presencia de un umbral de percolación eléctrica, a partir del cual la conductividad eléctrica aumenta varios órdenes de magnitud, alcanzando valores dentro del rango semiconductor. Morfológicamente, este rango se asoció a una 3 transición progresiva en la que la morfología tipo isla–mar dejó de ser predominante, observándose un entramado de zonas ricas en nanotubos sin una fase claramente definida. A partir de este contenido de nanotubos, se analizó el efecto de la relación PA6/PA12 (25/75, 50/50 y 75/25) sobre las propiedades mecánicas y funcionales de los nanocompuestos. Los resultados mostraron variaciones significativas en el módulo, la resistencia y la ductilidad en función de la composición de la mezcla. Asimismo, se observó que la incorporación de nanotubos afecta fuertemente el proceso de cristalización de la PA6, mientras que el de la PA12 permanece prácticamente inalterado. Finalmente, se desarrollaron compuestos auto-reforzados basados en las matrices seleccionadas y se evaluaron sus propiedades mecánicas, sus mecanismos de daño y su respuesta eléctrica antes y después de la solicitación mecánica. Los ensayos evidenciaron incrementos en el módulo de Young y en la resistencia a la tracción respecto de las matrices, junto con variaciones apreciables en los parámetros dieléctricos ε′, ε″ y tan δ asociadas al daño inducido. Estas mediciones se complementaron con ensayos de emisión acústica, permitiendo analizar la evolución del daño bajo carga. En conjunto, el trabajo desarrollado aporta un estudio experimental integral sobre nanocompuestos y compuestos auto-reforzados basados en poliamidas, proporcionando información relevante sobre la influencia de la composición, la microestructura y el procesamiento en sus propiedades mecánicas y funcionales, y sentando bases para el desarrollo de materiales estructurales con capacidad de monitoreo de daño. This doctoral thesis is framed within the development of multifunctional materials based on polymers aimed at advanced structural applications, with particular emphasis on the integration of mechanical performance and structural damage monitoring capability. In this context, the main objective was to develop self-reinforced composites using polyamide 6 (PA6) and polyamide 12 (PA12) blends with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as the matrix, and a plain-woven PA6.6 fabric as reinforcement, as well as to analyze the relationship between structure, processing, and mechanical and functional properties. The experimental work was organized into two stages. In the first stage, films based on PA6/PA12 50/50 blends with different MWCNT contents (0–8 wt. %) were investigated using a PA12 masterbatch, together with the corresponding self-reinforced composites obtained stacking these films alternately with a plain-woven PA6.6 fabric. These materials were characterized in terms of their morphology and thermal, rheological, and mechanical behavior, including tensile and fracture tests. Microstructural analysis revealed significant modifications in the morphology of the system upon nanotube incorporation, showing transitions from sea-island structures to configurations with MWCNT-rich regions. In particular, at low filler contents, a preferential localization of MWCNTs at the interphase between polymer phases was observed. From a mechanical standpoint, changes in fracture behavior were recorded, including a transition from brittle responses to fully ductile behavior, as well as increases in strength and stiffness in the self-reinforced composites compared to their corresponding matrices. Moreover, this first stage showed that the 50/50 composition exhibits a complex mechanical response associated with dual mechanical behavior, which motivated a deeper investigation of the system from the perspective of electrical conductivity and nanotube network percolation. In the second stage, a systematic study of the electrical percolation threshold was carried out for PA6/PA12 75/25 blends, using a PA6 masterbatch. Nanocomposites with MWCNT contents of up to 11 wt. % were developed and morphologically, thermally, rheologically, and electrically characterized. Within this framework, the presence of an electrical percolation threshold was identified, beyond which electrical conductivity increases by several orders of magnitude, reaching values within the semiconducting range. From a morphological standpoint, this range was associated with a progressive transition in which the sea-island morphology was no longer dominant, being progressively replaced by an interconnected network of MWCNT-rich regions without a clearly defined phase. Based on this nanotube content, the effect of the PA6/PA12 ratio (25/75, 50/50, and 75/25) on the mechanical and functional properties of the nanocomposites was analyzed. The results showed 5 significant variations in modulus, strength, and ductility depending on blend composition. Additionally, it was observed that nanotube incorporation markedly affects the crystallization process of PA6, while that of PA12 remains practically unaffected. Finally, self-reinforced composites based on the selected matrices were developed, and their mechanical properties, damage mechanisms, and electrical response was evaluated before and after mechanical loading. The tests revealed increases in Young’s modulus and tensile strength relative to the matrices, together with noticeable variations in the dielectric parameters ε′, ε″, and tan δ associated with the induced damage. These measurements were complemented by acoustic emission tests, enabling the analysis of damage evolution under loading. Overall, the work presented provides a comprehensive experimental study on polyamide-based nanocomposites and self-reinforced composites, offering relevant insights into the influence of composition, microstructure, and processing on their mechanical and functional properties, and establishing a basis for the development of structural materials with damage monitoring capability. A lo largo de este informe se presentará el desarrollo de un Módulo de Comunicaciones para el estándar de satélites CubeSat. El mismo comprende el diseño, construcción, medición y validación de una radio principal con un modo de funcionamiento analógico, con la intención de que sea utilizado por la comunidad de radioaficionados, y el diseño conceptual de un modo de funcionamiento privado para transmisión de telemetría, telecomandos y datos propios de la misión. En esta tesis se aborda el problema de la reconstrucción de imágenes en tomografía optoacústica mediante el uso de técnicas de aprendizaje profundo, con el objetivo de superar las limitaciones de los métodos analíticos clásicos cuando se aplican a escenarios experimentales realistas. En particular, se propone un enfoque integral que combina modelado físico detallado del sistema optoacústico, generación de datos sintéticos realistas y el diseño y evaluación de arquitecturas de redes neuronales convolucionales. Uno de los principales aportes de este trabajo es la incorporación explícita de efectos reales del sistema optoacústico —tales como la respuesta en frecuencia del detector, las limitaciones de ancho de banda, la atenuación dependiente de la profundidad y el ruido instrumental— en la generación de los datos sintéticos utilizados para el entrenamiento. Se demuestra que este modelado realista permite reducir de manera efectiva la brecha entre el dominio sintético y el experimental, mejorando la capacidad de generalización de los modelos entrenados cuando se aplican a mediciones reales. Desde el punto de vista metodológico, se evalúan distintas variantes de arquitecturas basadas en UNet, incluyendo configuraciones clásicas, modificaciones en los esquemas de upsampling, normalización por capa y enfoques multiescala entrenados por patches. El desempeño de los modelos se analiza mediante un conjunto ampliado de métricas que incluye métricas tradicionales, métricas perceptuales estructurales y métricas específicas por región, permitiendo una caracterización más completa de la calidad de las reconstrucciones. Los resultados obtenidos sobre datos sintéticos y mediciones optoacústicas reales muestran que las redes neuronales entrenadas con un modelado físico realista del sistema producen reconstrucciones más coherentes desde el punto de vista estructural, con mejor preservación de bordes, mayor continuidad vascular y una reducción significativa de artefactos, en comparación con los métodos analíticos tradicionales.
