El presente trabajo introduce DeepSignBridge, una innovadora interfaz que posibilita la traducción en tiempo real del lenguaje de señas peruano a texto, utilizando técnicas avanzadas de visión computacional y modelos de procesamiento de lenguaje natural. Este trabajo ha sido desarrollado en colaboración con la Fundación Ignacia Rodulfo Vda. de Canevaro y el Centro de Educación Básica Especial 07 La Inmaculada, dos instituciones enfocadas en la educación y bienestar de niños y jóvenes sordomudos. El asesoramiento brindado por ellas permitió entender de primera mano la verdadera problemática y plantear requerimientos que garanticen que la interfaz sea accesible, intuitiva y adecuada para el usuario final. La relevancia de DeepSignBridge radica en su potencial para mejorar la inclusión y comunicación entre personas con discapacidades auditivas y oyentes en el Perú. La propuesta de valor se centra en ofrecer una herramienta accesible, fluida y eficiente que sirva como puente trascendiendo las barreras lingüísticas. Para lograr esto, se aplicaron amplios conocimientos de algoritmos de visión como pose estimation para el reconocimiento de señas, modelos de aprendizaje profundo como las redes neuronales convolucionales y mecanismos de atención como los transformers.
