En esta tesis de grado se presenta el diseño y construcción de un prototipo de convertidor de continua a continua capaz de entregar la energía necesaria para alimentar electrodos auxiliares en un acelerador de iones de tipo electrostático. Se realiza el estudio de tres topologías de convertidores asimétricos en forma analítica y mediante simulaciones para determinar cuál es la más conveniente. Se presentan los resultados de un prototipo de convertidor asimétrico y un multiplicador de tensión capacitivo, que dispone de dos salidas simétricas de 10 kV de tensión continua, con una potencia de 600 W por cada salida.

Los cultivos de microalgas han adquirido un gran protagonismo, al ser considerados ecoamigables debido a que reciclan eficientemente contaminantes desde medios líquidos y gaseosos, incorporándolos a su metabolismo para generación de biomasa, pero los actuales sistemas de separación de la biomasa o la cosecha de las algas desde un medio líquido, sigue siendo el procedimiento más complejo y costoso. Igualmente las algas en las aguas superficiales han sido un problema a largo plazo, debido a su influencia adversa sobre el tratamiento de agua potable y la calidad de la misma. Por ello, se investigó en el presente trabajo la eficiencia de remoción de microalgas mediante la aplicación de técnicas de Electrocoagulación-flotación(ECF). Los resultados obtenidos indicaron, que los parámetros óptimos empleando electrodos de aluminio y para una densidad celular inicial igual a 0,2 g/L fueron: densidad de corriente de 1.5μA/cm2, pH 7.0 y temperatura del agua igual a 25° C. Con estas condiciones óptimas, se logró una eficiencia de remoción de microalgas del 98%, aplicando una baja tasa de voltaje y por lo tanto menor consumo de energía (0.07kWh/m3), además la concentración de aluminio remanente en el agua después de aplicar el proceso fue de 0.7 mg/L cumpliendo con el límite permisible de descarga a cuerpos de aguas superficiales (<1 mg/L, según la normatividad de descarga - Resolución 336/03, Modificaciones a la Resolución N° 389/98). En general, los resultados de la investigación demostraron que la aplicación del proceso de Electrocoagulación-Flotación (ECF) es efectiva y viable técnicamente para la cosecha o remoción de microalgas de un medio líquido.

En este trabajo hemos desarrollado e implementado un método de deconvolución con super-resolución. Pudiendo superar el límite de resolución de un sistema óptico incorporando al planteo de la deconvolución la información a priori que propone la aproximación SUPPOSe. La cual establece que es posible aproximar la estructura real como una superposición de fuentes puntuales de igual intensidad, denominadas fuentes virtuales. Esto nos permitió simplificar el problema de deconvolución y convertirlo en un problema de minimización sin restricciones, donde la única incógnita a encontrar son las posiciones de las fuentes virtuales SUPPOSe. Posiciones que pueden tener valores en todo el dominio del espacio de la imagen. Hemos puesto a prueba el algoritmo SUPPOSe con imágenes en dos dimensiones, tanto para el caso de imágenes sintéticas como para el caso de imágenes experimentales adquiridas con sistemas de baja resolución. Demostrando que le método logra reconstruir la estructura real que se encuentra distorsionada en las imágenes. Hemos generado un conjunto de datos sintéticos que simulan diferentes condiciones experimentales para poner a prueba el algoritmo. A partir de los resultados obtenidos hemos caracterizado cómo varía la calidad de la solución en función de las características de la imagen procesada. Así mismo validamos estos resultados procesando imágenes experimentales con diversas estructuras en la muestra y bajo diferentes condiciones de adquisición.
In this work we developed a deconvolution method with super-resolution. Making it possible to overcome the resolution limit of an optical system by incorporating the a priori information proposed by the SUPPOSe approach to the deconvolution problem. This approach establishes that it is possible to approximate the real structure as a superposition of point sources of equal intensity, called virtual sources. This allowed us to simplify the deconvolution problem and turn it into an unconstrained minimization problem, where the only unknowns are the positions of the SUPPOSe virtual sources. These positions can take values in the entire domain of the image space. We have tested the SUPPOSe algorithm with two-dimensional images, both in the case of synthetic images and in the case of experimental images acquired with low-resolution systems. Proving that the method can reconstruct the real structure that is distorted in the images. We have created a synthetic data set that simulates different experimental conditions to test the algorithm. From the results obtained we have characterized how the quality of the solution varies depending on the characteristics of the processed image. We also validate these results by processing experimental images with different structures in the sample and under different acquisition conditions.

La cosmografía de retardo de tiempo (en inglés: time delay cosmography) es un enfoque surgido en la década pasada con el fin de estimar la constante de Hubble, es decir, la velocidad de expansión actual del universo. Su principal ingrediente es la obtención de la fotometría de los puntos fuente de lentes gravitacionales. Para llevarlo a cabo se requiere deconvolucionar las observaciones adquiridas por telescopios espaciales o terrestres. En este trabajo se propone un nuevo método de deconvolución de imágenes denominado STARRED que emplea una función de dispersión de punto (en inglés: Point Spread Function) más estrecha que la original. A su vez, esta se produce utilizando NarrowPSFGen, una técnica elaborada en esta tesis.
Time delay cosmography is an approach that has emerged in the last decade to estimate the Hubble constant, i.e., the current expansion rate of the universe. Its main ingredient is to obtain the photometry of point sources in gravitational lenses. This requires deconvolution of observations acquired by space or ground-based telescopes. In this work, a new image deconvolution method called STARRED is proposed, which uses a Point Spread Function narrower than the original one. At the same time, the latter is produced using NarrowPSFGen, a technique developed in this thesis.
