(…) Uno de los temas centrales para el desarrollo de un país son las fuentes de energía con las que cuenta para la producción de bienes y servicios. En el marco de lo que se ha denominado globalmente ´transición energética´, los hidrocarburos como fuentes primarias de energía son clave para esta etapa. (…) En este camino, nuestras carreras estarán seguramente mucho más a la altura que los desafíos del sector energético demanden y en particular para la transición energética en el desarrollo de los hidrocarburos. La contaminación debido a colorantes en agua y efluentes es un tema de preocupación mundial. Dentro de los procesos de tratamiento, la adsorción es una técnica que posee ventajas económicas y operativas debido a la posibilidad de regenerar el material adsorbente y a la utilización de equipos de diseño y operación sencillos. Entre los materiales que se utilizan tradicionalmente como adsorbentes se encuentra el carbón activado, el cual brinda un buen desempeño, pero presenta como desventajas su elevado costo y la dificultad para su disposición final. Actualmente, existen estudios orientados a encontrar materiales alternativos preparados a partir de biopolímeros. Entre ellos, el quitosano aparece como una excelente opción frente a los tradicionales debido a su bajo costo, su biodegradabilidad, su capacidad de regeneración, la versatilidad para prepararlo en distintas presentaciones y su capacidad de adsorción total. Sin embargo, escasos trabajos evalúan el comportamiento de materiales compuestos basados en biopolímeros en procesos continuos de adsorción enfocados a la industria. El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar la efectividad como adsorbente del quitosano y de un material compuesto preparado a partir de este y zeolita analizando resultados experimentales ya obtenidos en el laboratorio en dos condiciones de operación: continua y discontinua. El adsorbato utilizado fue azul de metileno, un colorante modelo, disuelto en agua. La zeolita agregada a una red polimérica de quitosano incrementa la capacidad de adsorción del material a la vez que aumenta el tamaño de poro y la resistencia mecánica, contribuyendo así a la aplicabilidad de éste como relleno de columnas de adsorción de lecho fijo. El estudio de la capacidad adsorbente de los materiales propuestos fue evaluado a partir de un análisis cinético. Los modelos aplicados fueron: Pseudo primer orden, Pseudo segundo orden, Elovich y Weber & Morris. Los resultados indicaron que Elovich es el modelo de ajuste que mejor predice la capacidad de adsorción en función del tiempo de contacto para el uso de quitosano como adsorbente como así también para el composite quitosano-zeolita. Asimismo, se evaluaron las isotermas de adsorción a partir de los modelos de Freundlich, Langmuir, Redlich Peterson y Sips. Considerando únicamente los modelos de dos parámetros (Langmuir y Freundlich), se encontró que Langmuir es el que mejor se ajusta. Entre todos ellos, la isoterma de Sips brindó el mejor ajuste para ambos adsorbentes estudiados. A partir de los resultados experimentales en modo continuo, se construyeron curvas de ruptura que permitieron obtener parámetros de desempeño de los materiales adsorbentes, como la capacidad total de adsorción (qtotal), la capacidad de adsorción en equilibrio (qe), el porcentaje de remoción del colorante, el tiempo de ruptura y la altura de lecho no utilizada (LUB). Estos parámetros permitieron analizar las variables de operación, como la altura de relleno y el caudal, así como el efecto del agregado de zeolita. Además, se ajustaron las curvas de ruptura en su parte inicial y completa con seis modelos: BDST, Thomas, Yoon Nelson, Clark, Adams Bohart y Wolboroska. Entre ellos, el modelo de Adams Bohart, equivalente al de Wolboroska, no resultó válido para la predicción de la parte inicial de las curvas de ruptura. Por otro lado, se recomendó el uso de los modelos de BDST, Thomas y Yoon Nelson para las curvas completas. La columna de adsorción de la experiencia en modo continuo que tuvo el mejor desempeño del material fue escalada, de manera teórica, con un factor de 1:10. Se mantuvo constante el factor de porosidad y la velocidad superficial para mantener el fenómeno de transferencia de masa observado en el laboratorio. Esto permitió obtener el caudal y la concentración de entrada que admitiría la columna escalada. Los resultados de los análisis cinéticos y de las isotermas de adsorción permitieron concluir que el paso controlante del mecanismo de adsorción es la reacción química (quimisorción) y que la superficie del material es fuertemente heterogénea. Esto fue validado a partir de los resultados de ajuste por modelos de curvas de ruptura. Los resultados obtenidos en este trabajo permitieron proponer el uso de un composite de quitosano – zeolita como un adsorbente atractivo y novedoso para el tratamiento de efluentes coloreados desde una perspectiva operacional, económica y medioambiental.

En los últimos años, el creciente interés de los consumidores sobre el impacto de la alimentación en la salud ha generado una fuerte demanda de productos que sean saludables, nutritivos y libres de aditivos químicos. El veganismo ha experimentado una ascendente popularidad, motivada por consideraciones éticas, religiosas, medioambientales y de bienestar. Concurrentemente, se ha registrado un incremento en la detección y conciencia de las intolerancias y alergias al gluten en la última década, impulsando el consumo de productos exentos de dicha proteína. A pesar de los avances, estos productos a menudo son costosos, escasos en variedad y calidad sensorial, pudiendo inducir deficiencias nutricionales. En este contexto, surge el desarrollo de esta Tesis que tiene como objetivo desarrollar un medallón vegano bajo en carbohidratos y sin T.A.C.C. seguro y con adecuada vida útil para su comercialización. Para ello, se desarrolló su formulación y proceso de elaboración, se analizaron sus propiedades fisicoquímicas, microbiológicas y organolépticas y se estudió su vida útil en dos tipos de empaque diferentes: al vacío y sin vacío en sistema Flowpack, bajo diferentes condiciones de almacenamiento y se realizó una evaluación de costos asociados a su elaboración. Los resultados evidenciaron que se logró obtener un alimento a base de soja texturizada, chía, harina de lupino y proteína de arvejas, bajo en carbohidratos, cumpliendo con los criterios establecidos para el producto. El tipo de empaque no fue un factor determinante en el estudio de vida útil, logrando en ambos casos la vida útil propuesta de 3 meses en almacenamiento congelado y al menos 4 días en refrigeración. Se observó una leve diferencia en el costo, en donde el envasado en Flowpack resultó más económico.

En los últimos años son diversas las razones que impulsan la evolución de las redes eléctricas, especialmente el incremento de interconexiones complejas, la incorporación de energías renovables y nuevos modelos de generación y distribución. Conforme au menta la complejidad de estos sistemas, mayor es la dependencia del buen funciona miento del sistema con la estimación del estado de la red. Por lo tanto, resulta de vital importancia el estudio de la robustez de la estimación frente a perturbaciones en las mediciones. De las perturbaciones que puede sufrir una red eléctrica, el peor caso y por lo tanto el de mayor interés es el del ciberataque. Por estas razones, se decidió que el objetivo de este trabajo final sea el de desarrollar un estimador de estados de redes eléctricas de potencia que resulte robusto frente a ciberataques, alteraciones malicio sas de las mediciones de la red. Para implementar este estimador, se utilizará una red neuronal entrenada en una configuración adversaria, inspirada en el concepto de Gene rative Adversarial Networks, siendo el segundo sistema partícipe del juego un atacante. Se espera que esta configuración permita entrenar un estimador que corrija o mitigue los errores provocados por el ataque, para lo cual se utilizará la técnica de dropout en el entrenamiento del estimador. Los ataques objeto de estudio serán principalmente aquellos calificados como weak attack. La novedad del trabajo respecto a otros trabajos de investigación en el tema reside en dos aspectos. En primer lugar, es nuevo el objetivo de diseñar un estimador de estados que pueda mitigar el daño de los weak attack en el procesamiento de la señal, cuando la mayoría de los trabajos anteriores se enfocaron en el régimen de strong attack. Además, el procedimiento y la arquitectura utilizados se diseñaron específicamente para este trabajo. Si bien están inspirados en técnicas del área de deep learning y en trabajos previos, la solución completa al problema es origi nal. Para evaluar la utilidad de la solución diseñada, se realizan pruebas sobre las redes IEEE14 e IEEE30. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que, bajo ciertas condiciones e hipótesis previas, el diseño presentado permite diseñar un estimador más robusto que uno estándar.
