En esta tesis se presenta el desarrollo completo de un novedoso sistema que permite el mapeo con alta resolución espacial de la difusividad térmica de una muestra. El sistema se basa en una técnica fototérmica recientemente desarrollada en el Laboratorio de Haces Dirigidos consistente en la medición con un láser de prueba de la curvatura inducida por el calentamiento con un láser modulado. Utilizando tecnología de fibras ópticas se garantiza la colinealidad de los láseres, se colecta la señal y se separan el bombeo y la detección para la medición. Se discute en detalle el diseño, la construcción y la caracterización de dos prototipos que se acoplan a un microscopio comercial por un puerto lateral de cámara y permiten la realización de barridos espaciales de la señal fototérmica. Las capacidades del sistema son mostradas a partir de la caracterización exhaustiva de pastillas sinterizadas de combustible nuclear. Se discuten los casos particulares de UO2+10%Gd2O3 y UO2+7.5%Dy2O3, mostrándose como se determina su homogeneidad, se distingue óxidos interdifundidos de la mezcla de óxidos, se reconocen los aglomerados y se determina la abundancia relativa de las diferentes especies y su distribución espacial. La inclusión de un horno para microscopio extiende dichas capacidades dado que permite la medición de la señal fototérmica como función de la temperatura convirtiéndolo en una potencial herramienta para la caracterización de propiedades térmicas a escala microscópica en función de la temperatura. Esto se muestra a partir de la determinación de la energía de activación de la transformación de fase amorfo-cristal de una aleación de Fe-B-Si.

El objetivo principal de la investigación es la síntesis y caracterización de nuevos materiales multiferroicos magnetoeléctricos. Para la síntesis de los materiales en bulk se utiliza el método de reacción en fase sólida y la caracterización se lleva a cabo mediante diversas técnicas: estructurales, morfológicas, magnéticas, dieléctricas, etc., analizando las respuestas y relacionándolas entre sí. De acuerdo con los resultados obtenidos, se puede determinar que el porcentaje de las fases modifican significativamente las propiedades eléctricas y magnéticas del material bifásico. Se puede inferir que el material con alto contenido de fase ferroeléctrica es el compuesto más prometedor para aplicaciones como dispositivo magnetoeléctrico. Con respecto a los sistemas laminados, los efectos magnetoeléctricos directo e inverso fueron simulados a partir del desarrollo de las ecuaciones magneto-mecano-eléctricas usando un modelo de circuito equivalente. Los principales resultados muestran que, operando cerca de la frecuencia de resonancia, se obtiene una respuesta óptima para un laminado con alto espesor relativo de la fase piezoeléctrica, funcionando en modo de operación L-T.

Los fitoquímicos son compuestos que se encuentran naturalmente en las plantas, siendo los más destacados la vitamina C, los carotenoides y los compuestos fenólicos. Consumidos a través de la dieta, estos compuestos ejercen efectos fisiológicos positivos en el ser humano. En el vegetal recién cosechado, la concentración de fitoquímicos varía considerablemente dependiendo del grado de desarrollo de la planta al momento de cosecha, las condiciones de manejo de cultivo y las tecnologías de producción aplicadas. Entre las hortalizas de hoja, la lechuga manteca (Lactuca sativa var. Lores) presenta un contenido de fitoquímicos relativamente bajo, pero es uno de los vegetales más consumidos en el mundo. Los experimentos realizados en la presente Tesis Doctoral se han centrado en la evaluación de distintas estrategias de producción hortícolas de bajo impacto ambiental y fácil aplicación orientadas a obtener plantas de lechuga manteca con un mejorado contenido de fitoquímicos, aumentando el aporte de compuestos beneficiosos en la dieta de los consumidores de esta hortaliza. Antes de abordar el estudio del impacto de las variables precosecha sobre la concentración de compuestos fitoquímicos en lechuga, fue necesario realizar la caracterización de estos compuestos en la materia prima a cosecha. Para ello, en primer lugar (Capítulo 1, sección 1), se puso a punto una metodología analítica para realizar la extracción sólido-líquido de antioxidantes de lechuga y su posterior cuantificación con la técnica DPPH. Los parámetros de extracción evaluados (grado de procesamiento de la muestra, estado de la muestra, relación masa de muestra a volumen de disolvente, concentración de etanol en el disolvente y mezcla con ácidos orgánicos) afectaron significativamente el rendimiento de la extracción de los compuestos antioxidantes y se determinó que las mejores condiciones de extracción consistían en procesar 1 gramo del vegetal fresco durante 1 minuto y mezclarlo con 10 mL de etanol acidificado con ácido cítrico (1 % m/v). Una segunda etapa de extracción con acetona:agua (70:30 v/v) mejoró el rendimiento de la extracción en casi un 69 % y el extracto obtenido se mantuvo estable durante 14 días de almacenamiento a -20 °C. Por otra parte, se estableció que los parámetros más adecuados para la cuantificación de la capacidad antioxidante de los extractos de lechuga con la técnica DPPH eran: concentración de la solución de DPPH de 100 M, relación volumétrica extracto:DPPH de 1:4 v/v, tiempo de incubación de 60 min, 517 nm como longitud de onda para la medición de la absorbancia y expresión de resultados en términos de equivalentes de ácido ascórbico. En un análisis posterior (Capítulo 1, sección 2), se profundizó el estudio de las variables críticas que mayormente afectaban el proceso de extracción de los antioxidantes de lechuga: la concentración de etanol en el disolvente y el tiempo y la temperatura durante la extracción. De esta manera se optimizó el proceso de extracción utilizando la metodología de superficie de respuesta y un diseño de Box-Behnken, evaluando la eficiencia del proceso mediante la medición de la capacidad antioxidante y el contenido de polifenoles totales de los extractos. Estas respuestas fueron simultáneamente maximizadas aplicando la función Deseabilidad y se determinó que las condiciones de extracción óptimas eran: etanol 70 % v/v (con ácido cítrico 1 % m/v) como disolvente, 32 °C y 2 horas. Seguidamente (Capítulo 1, sección 3) se realizó la caracterización del contenido de fitoquímicos (ácido ascórbico, polifenoles totales, flavonoides totales, clorofila, carotenoides totales), la capacidad antioxidante y el potencial de browning de la planta de lechuga manteca, observándose una clara distribución de estos índices dentro de la planta. Las hojas externas presentaron la mejor calidad fitoquímica ya que exhibieron los mayores contenidos de compuestos fenólicos y de pigmentos clorofílicos y carotenoides, así como también la mayor capacidad antioxidante. Por su parte, las hojas medias fueron las que presentaron un mayor contenido de ácido ascórbico, mientras que las hojas internas se caracterizaron por presentar un bajo contenido de fitoquímicos y el menor potencial de pardeamiento. A continuación (Capítulo 2) se determinó el perfil polifenólico de lechuga manteca mediante cromatografía líquida. En este estudio se incorporó el análisis de otras dos variedades de lechuga (hoja de roble verde y morada) para tener en cuenta muestras con distinta concentración de polifenoles y diferente efecto matriz. La metodología de análisis desarrollada para la determinación de los polifenoles mayoritarios en estas muestras mediante HPLC-DAD presentó buenas precisiones y límites de detección adecuados y permitió identificar a los ácidos hidroxicinámicos como los compuestos fenólicos mayoritarios presentes en lechuga, seguido de los flavonoles glicosilados. Además, la información estructural proporcionada por el análisis de las muestras con la técnica UHPLC-DAD-ESI-Q-ToF/MS permitió identificar la presencia de 32 compuestos fenólicos, algunos de los cuales no habían sido identificados con anterioridad en lechuga. Una vez optimizada la metodología de extracción de compuestos antioxidantes, y caracterizado el perfil de fitoquímicos en la planta de lechuga manteca se procedió a estudiar el impacto de los factores precosecha: hora de cosecha (9, 13 y 17 hs), modo de cosecha (con y sin raíz) y método de cultivo (a campo y en invernadero), sobre el contenido de fitoquímicos, la capacidad antioxidante, la actividad de enzimas y la calidad microbiológica y organoléptica de lechuga manteca a cosecha y durante el almacenamiento óptimo (Capítulo 3). Se encontró que las plantas cosechadas a las 17 hs presentaron un mayor contenido de ácido ascórbico, polifenoles totales, flavonoides totales y pigmentos clorofílicos y carotenoides, así como también mayor capacidad antioxidante, respecto de las plantas cosechadas a las 9 y 13 hs, tanto a cosecha como durante el almacenamiento refrigerado del vegetal. La hora de cosecha también afectó la actividad enzimática de la lechuga y su calidad microbiológica aunque todas las plantas permanecieron sensorialmente aceptables y microbiológicamente aptas hasta el día 21 de almacenamiento. El modo de cosecha (con y sin raíz) no modificó el contenido de fitoquímicos, la actividad enzimática y la calidad microbiológica de lechuga manteca, aunque la calidad visual de las plantas cosechadas con raíz fue significativamente menor que la de las plantas cosechadas sin raíz. Las lechugas cultivadas en el campo presentaron un mayor contenido de fitoquímicos y de capacidad antioxidante durante los primeros 12 días de almacenamiento, así como también una menor actividad de la enzima polifenol oxidasa (PPO) comparado con las plantas provenientes de invernadero. Sin embargo, estas últimas presentaron una menor degradación de ácido ascórbico, una menor actividad de peroxidasa (POD) y una mayor calidad organoléptica durante todo el período de almacenamiento. Los resultados presentados en el Capítulo 3 sugieren la conveniencia de cultivar la lechuga en campo y cosechar el vegetal sin raíces y en horas de la tarde para obtener mejoras significativas en el contenido de fitoquímicos beneficiosos para la salud. Una vez establecidos los efectos de estos factores precosecha que están al alcance del productor ya que implican simplemente la modificación de protocolos de trabajo (hora de cosecha, modo de cosecha, método de cultivo), los estudios se orientaron a realizar intervenciones precosecha mediante la aplicación de tratamientos inductores de estrés que permitieran aumentar el contenido de fitoquímicos de la lechuga como una respuesta adaptativa del vegetal. De esta manera, se investigó la influencia de distintos tipos de estreses físicos y químicos aplicados a las semillas de lechuga sobre la calidad fitoquímica de los brotes germinados durante 7 días utilizando técnicas multivariantes de análisis de datos (Capítulo 4). Dentro de los estreses físicos, la aplicación de choques térmicos a las semillas de lechuga previo al período de germinación no afectó el contenido de fitoquímicos de los brotes. En cambio, se observó una influencia positiva de las condiciones lumínicas durante la germinación en el contenido fitoquímico ya que los brotes de lechuga germinados con un fotoperíodo de 16 hs registraron un 10 % más de polifenoles totales, 20 % más de flavonoides totales y entre 7 – 9 % más de capacidad antioxidante, que los brotes germinados en condiciones control (fotoperíodo de 8 hs). En lo que respecta a los estreses químicos, la utilización de ácidos orgánicos (cítrico, láctico, ascórbico) aplicados durante la imbibición de las semillas o en forma de spray sobre las plántulas durante la germinación no produjo mejoras en el contenido de compuestos fenólicos y la capacidad antioxidante de los brotes, observándose, en algunos casos, un efecto adverso del tratamiento sobre la viabilidad de las semillas. Se encontraron resultados similares cuando se ensayó la utilización de soluciones de quitosano y aceite esencial de tea tree durante la imbibición de las semillas de lechuga. En contraste, la aplicación por spray de estos compuestos durante la germinación sí estimuló la biosíntesis de metabolitos secundarios: los tratamientos con tea tree y quitosano en distintas concentraciones provocaron incrementos del 6 – 13 % y 32 – 48 %, respectivamente, en el contenido de polifenoles totales de los brotes de lechuga a los 7 días de tratamiento. La concentración de flavonoides en los brotes también aumentó un 17 – 25 % y 44 – 79 % tras la aplicación de tea tree y quitosano, respectivamente. También se observaron aumentos en la capacidad antioxidante de los brotes tratados con tea tree y, especialmente, quitosano. Sin embargo, la aplicación de estos compuestos también produjo reducciones significativas en los parámetros de biomasa de los brotes, por lo que se descartó su utilización a escala real ya que impedirían el normal desarrollo de la planta. Es necesario realizar más investigaciones con el fin de maximizar, además del contenido fitoquímico, el porcentaje de germinación y el rendimiento y crecimiento de los brotes. Dada la potencialidad del quitosano y aceite esencial de tea tree para inducir el metabolismo secundario de lechuga, en la última parte de la presente Tesis (Capítulo 5) se ensayó la aplicación de estos compuestos en las últimas etapas de desarrollo de la planta (14, 10, 7, 3 y 0 días antes de la cosecha). Los tratamientos con quitosano y tea tree provocaron aumentos del 30,5 % y 21,1 %, respectivamente, en el contenido de polifenoles totales de las lechugas recién cosechadas, respecto de las plantas no tratadas. La concentración inicial de flavonoides totales de las plantas también aumentó un 43,3 % y 36,4 % tras la aplicación de quitosano y tea tree en la precosecha, respectivamente.
Además, las plantas tratadas con estos compuestos también presentaron una mayor capacidad antioxidante a cosecha. Notablemente, estas mejoras se mantuvieron durante el almacenamiento refrigerado. Por el contrario, si bien se registraron aumentos en el contenido inicial de ácido ascórbico en las plantas tratadas con quitosano y tea tree, estas diferencias no fueron mantenidas en el almacenamiento. Cabe destacar que la aplicación de quitosano también ejerció un efecto fungistático durante el almacenamiento refrigerado de las plantas y redujo las actividades de las enzimas PPO y POD. Estos estudios permitieron establecer que la aplicación precosecha de quitosano o de aceite esencial de tea tree constituye una tecnología de fácil implementación que
permite estimular la biosíntesis de fitoquímicos bioactivos y mejorar el valor nutricional de la lechuga. Para finalizar y a modo de conclusión general, el desarrollo de esta Tesis Doctoral ha contribuido a ampliar los conocimientos en referencia a la caracterización del perfil fitoquímico y la capacidad antioxidante de lechuga y al efecto de diferentes factores precosecha sobre la calidad fitoquímica, organoléptica y microbiológica de lechuga manteca.
Phytochemicals are naturally occurring compounds in plants, including vitamin C, carotenoids and phenolic compounds. Dietary consumption of phytochemicals is associated with benefits for human health. The concentration of these compounds in the harvested vegetable can vary considerably depending on several factors such as physiological stage at harvest, handling conditions, and production technology. Among leafy vegetables, butterhead lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. Lores) is characterized by a lower phytochemical content, but is one of the most commonly consumed vegetables in the world. Studies carried out for this Doctoral Thesis were focused on the evaluation of different horticultural production strategies aimed at obtaining butterhead lettuce plants with an enhanced phytochemical content, increasing the intake of health-promoting compounds in the diet of consumers. Before studying the impact of preharvest factors on the concentration of phytochemicals in lettuce, it was necessary to carry out a characterization of these compounds in the raw material. For this purpose, an analytical methodology for the solid-liquid extraction of antioxidants from butterhead lettuce and its quantification by DPPH technique was firstly developed (Chapter 1, section 1). Evaluated extraction parameters (degree of sample processing, sample state, mass sample to solvent volume ratio, concentration of ethanol in the solvent and mixture with organic acids) significantly affected the extraction yield of antioxidant compounds and it was determined that the best extraction conditions were to process 1 gram of fresh lettuce leaves for 1 minute and mix it with 10 mL of acidified ethanol with citric acid (1 % w/v). A second extraction step with acetone:water (70:30 v/v) improved extraction yield in almost a 69 % and obtained extracts were stable for 14 days of storage at -20 ºC. On the other hand, the most adequate parameters for the quantification of antioxidant capacity of lettuce extracts with DPPH technique were: DPPH solution concentration of 100 μM, extract:DPPH volume ratio of 1:4 v/v, incubation time of 60 minutes, measuring wavelength of 517 nm, and expression of results in terms of ascorbic acid equivalents. In a further study (Chapter 1, section 2), critical parameters that most affected the antioxidant extraction from lettuce leaves were deeply analyzed: ethanol concentration in the solvent, time and temperature during extraction. In this way, the extraction process was optimized using the response surface methodology and a Box- Behnken design, and efficiency was evaluated measuring antioxidant capacity and total phenolic content of extracts. These responses were simultaneously maximized applying the Desirability function, and it was determined that optimal extraction conditions were: ethanol 70 % v/v (with citric acid 1 % w/v) as solvent, 32 °C and 2 hours. Next (Chapter 1, section 3), a characterization of the phytochemical content (ascorbic acid, total polyphenols, total flavonoids, chlorophyll, total carotenoids), antioxidant capacity, and browning potential from butterhead lettuce was performed. A clear distribution of these indexes was observed inside the plant. Outer leaves presented a better phytochemical quality since they accumulated more phenolics and chlorophyll and carotenoids pigments, as well as more antioxidant activity. On the other hand, middle leaves presented more ascorbic acid, while inner leaves had a lower content of phytochemicals and browning potential. Then (Chapter 2), the polyphenolic profile of butterhead lettuce was determined using liquid chromatography. In this study, two other lettuce varieties (green and red oak leaf) were analyzed to take into account samples with different phenolic concentration and matrix effect. The analytical methodology developed for the determination of major polyphenols in these samples by HPLC-DAD presented appropriate precisions and detection limits and allowed to identify hidroxicinnamic acids as the main phenolic compounds in lettuce, followed by flavonol glycosides. Besides, structural information provided by lettuce samples analysis using UHPLCDAD- ESI-Q-ToF/MS technique allowed the identification of 32 phenolic compounds, some of which had not been previously reported in lettuce. Once the extraction of antioxidant compounds methodology was optimized, and the phytochemical profile of butterhead lettuce was characterized, the impact of preharvest factors: time of harvest (9, 13, and 17 hs), mode of harvest (with and without root), and production system (open field and greenhouse), on the content of phytochemicals, antioxidant capacity, enzymatic activity and microbiological and organoleptic quality of butterhead lettuce at harvest and during optimum storage was studied (Chapter 3). It was found that plants harvested at 17 hs had a higher content of ascorbic acid, total polyphenols, total flavonoids and chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments, as well as increased antioxidant capacity, compared to plants harvested at 9 and 13 hs, both at harvest and during cold storage. The time of harvest also affected the enzymatic activity of lettuce and its microbiological quality although all plants remained sensory and microbiologically acceptable till day 21 of storage. Mode of harvest (with and without roots) did not alter the phytochemical content, the enzymatic activity nor the microbiological quality of butterhead lettuce, although the visual quality of the plants harvested with root was significantly lower than those harvested without roots. Lettuces grown in the field had a higher content of phytochemicals and antioxidant capacity during the first 12 days of storage, as well as lower polyphenol oxidase (PPO) activity compared to plants from the greenhouse. However, the latter showed lower ascorbic acid degradation, lower peroxidase (POD) activity and greater organoleptic quality throughout the storage period. Results presented in Chapter 3 suggest the convenience of growing lettuce in the field and harvest the plant without roots in the afternoon in order to obtain significant improvements in the content of health-promoting phytochemicals. Once the effects of these preharvest factors (time of harvest, mode of harvest, production system) that could be easily implemented by producers as they involve a simple modification of work protocols were established, further studies were oriented to conduct preharvest interventions by applying stress inducer treatments that would allow to increase the phytochemical content of lettuce as an adaptive response of the plant. Thus, the influence of different physical and chemical stresses applied to the lettuce seeds on the phytochemical quality of sprouts germinated for 7 days using multivariate techniques of data analysis was investigated (Chapter 4). Within physical stresses, thermal shocks applied to lettuce seeds prior to germination period did not affect the phytochemical content of sprouts. Instead, a positive influence of light conditions during germination in the phytochemical content was observed since lettuce sprouts germinated with a photoperiod of 16 hours showed more total polyphenols (by 10 %), total flavonoids (by 20 %) and antioxidant capacity (by 7 – 9 %), than sprouts germinated under control conditions (photoperiod of 8 hours). With respect to chemical stresses, the use of organic acids (citric, lactic, ascorbic) applied during the imbibition of lettuce seeds or as spraying solution during germination did not improve the phenolic content and antioxidant capacity of sprouts, showing, in some cases, an adverse effect of treatment on seed viability. Similar results were found when solutions of chitosan and tea tree essential oil were tested during imbibition of lettuce seeds. In contrast, the application of these compounds as exogenous daily spraying during germination stimulated the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites: treatments with tea tree and chitosan at various concentrations caused increases of 6 – 13 % and 32 – 48 %, respectively, in the content of total polyphenols in lettuce sprouts after 7 days of treatment. The concentration of flavonoids in the sprouts also increased by 17 – 25 % and 44 – 79 % following application of tea tree and chitosan, respectively. Increases in the antioxidant capacity were also observed in sprouts treated with tea tree and, especially, chitosan. However, the application of these compounds reduced significantly the sprouts biomass parameters, therefore their transfer to real scale was discouraged since they would interfere with the normal development of the plant. More investigations are needed in order to maximize not only phytochemical content, but also germination percentage, and yield and growth of sprouts. Given the potential of chitosan and tea tree essential oil to induce secondary metabolism of lettuce, in the last part of this Thesis (Chapter 5) the application of these compounds in the later stages of plant development (14, 10, 7, 3, and 0 days before harvest) was tested. Treatments with chitosan and tea tree caused increases of 30.5 % and 21.1 %, respectively, in the total phenolic content of freshly harvested lettuce, compared to untreated plants. The initial concentration of total flavonoids was also increased by 43.3 % and 36.4 % after the preharvest application of chitosan and tea tree, respectively. In addition, plants treated with these compounds also had higher antioxidant capacity at harvest. Notably, these improvements were maintained during refrigerated storage. By contrast, although increases in the initial content of ascorbic acid were detected in plants treated with chitosan and tea tree, these differences were not maintained during storage. Noteworthy, the application of chitosan also exerted a fungistatic effect during the cold storage of the plants and reduced the activities of PPO and POD enzymes. These studies allow us to establish that the preharvest application of quitosan or tea tree essential oil constitutes a technology of easy implementation that stimulate the biosynthesis of bioactive phytochemicals and improve the nutritional value of lettuce. Finally, and as a general conclusion, the development of this Doctoral Thesis has contributed to expand the knowledge in reference to the phytochemical profile and antioxidant capacity of lettuce and the effect of different preharvest factors on the phytochemical, organoleptic and microbiological quality of butterhead lettuce.

En esta tesis de grado se presenta la puesta en funcionamiento a potencia nominal del banco de ensayos para algoritmos de control de motores trifásicos de 5kW. Se realiza la calibración de los circuitos de instrumentación, se evalúa el funcionamiento de los circuitos de control y se implementan modificaciones a fín de corregir comportamientos no deseados. Se presentan los resultados de ensayos realizados en el banco de ensayos.
In this degree thesis, the commissioning at nominal power of the test bench for control algorithms of 5kW three-phase motors is presented. The calibration of the instrumentation circuits is carried out, the operation of the control circuits is evaluated and modifications are implemented in order to correct undesired behaviors. The results of tests carried out on the test bench are presented.

Esta Tesis está enmarcada en trabajos de investigación llevados a cabo por el grupo LabOSat. En la misma, se presenta el desarrollo de un sistema de control activo de la ganancia de un fotomultiplicador de silicio (SiPM, Silicon Photomultiplier), el cual permite efectuar mediciones de la ganancia del sensor, además de mantenerla estable frente a fluctuaciones en la temperatura. Esto se traduce en dos modos de operación: medición y control. Para este fin, se realiza el desarrollo del núcleo del firmware en RTOS del microcontrolador correspondiente a los dos modos de operación, el diseño e implementación del circuito de control de la tensión de polarización para SiPMs y el diseño e implementación del circuito de variación de la tensión umbral. El sistema cuenta también con una interfaz de comunicación mediante la cual se pueden recibir comandos y enviar los resultados obtenidos. Este sistema es parte de un prototipo para caracterizar SiPMs con el fin de aumentar su nivel de madurez tecnológica en lo que respecta a aplicaciones espaciales.

En la presente memoria se describe el modelo de predicción de consumo horario de energía eléctrica del Sistema Argentino de Interconexión (SADI) para el día siguiente al día actual. El trabajo permite disminuir el error actual del pronóstico de demanda, además de automatizar la tarea para optimizar tiempos en el desarrollo de la programación diaria de energía, llevada a cabo por la empresa CAMMESA. En la realización de este trabajo se han empleado modelos de regresión polinómica, arboles de decisión, auto-regresiones con media móvil y redes neuronales de larga memoria de corto plazo para la predicción de las próximas horas en forma simultánea. A su vez, se han implementado métricas para el seguimiento especifico de valores característicos de las curvas diarias, como son los máximos (para asegurar el cubrimiento de picos de consumo) y la energía diaria (cubrimiento energético).

La presente memoria describe el diseño e implementación de un algoritmo predictivo de mora y de rotación del crédito desarrollado para una importante compañía de consumo masivo en Bolivia que otorga créditos a sus clientes para la venta de sus productos. El modelo distingue clientes que por su comportamiento podrían entrar en mora o aquellos que usen en mayor proporción el crédito asignado, lo que permite a la compañía mejorar la distribución del presupuesto destinado a créditos y a su vez, automatiza y transparenta procesos manuales. Para poder abordar este trabajo se aplicaron conceptos de estadística, bases de datos y aprendizaje automático que permitieron llevar a cabo la implementación de un modelo estadístico basado en aprendizaje automático desde la extracción de datos hasta la generación de dos scores: riesgo y rotación.

La presente memoria describe el desarrollo de un sistema para ser utilizado por enfermeros y médicos en el ámbito hospitalario implementado con un protocolo de bajo consumo de recursos. El trabajo se realizó para satisfacer una necesidad de la empresa Surix SRL. La arquitectura del sistema está compuesta por cinco elementos principales que fueron abordados durante la carrera: un broker que gestiona los mensajes, una base de datos con información de los pacientes, un programa que genera acciones basado en distintos eventos, una aplicación web que permite la gestión de la base de datos y una aplicación móvil.

En este trabajo se describe el diseño, desarrollo, testing e implementación de un sistema de control de cultivos hortícolas para la empresa Biale Hermanos S.H. El sistema está compuesto por hardware de bajo costo y una plataforma de software de dos niveles, en los planos local y en la nube. En el plano local los nodos sensores y actuadores recopilan datos y realizan acciones de control. La plataforma en la nube basada en contenedores recopila la información enviada por los nodos y se encarga de impartir ordenes de control de acuerdo a reglas definidas y asociadas a cada nodo. Los datos recopilados y el estado de los actuadores pueden ser visualizados en tiempo real por el usuario mediante una página web.

En la presente memoria se hace una descripción del proceso de diseño y construcción de un estante IoT capaz de detectar el retiro o incorporación de productos. La información generada se envía a un servidor para su consulta y análisis. Utilizando los conocimientos adquiridos durante la carrera de especialización se creó una base de datos relacional capaz de almacenar la información proveniente de los dispositivos instalados. Además, se realizó una aplicación cliente-servidor a fin de mejorar la experiencia del usuario que, a diferencia de otras soluciones existentes que se orientan a la reposición de mercadería, apunta a brindar información relevante a otros miembros de la cadena de distribución a fin de que fabricantes y proveedores tengan un conocimiento más detallado del comportamiento del consumidor.
