Este desarrollo fue realizado para el Instituto de Tecnologías y Ciencias de la Ingeniería (INTECIN) de la Universidad de Buenos Aires y del Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas. El dosímetro es un desarrollo original del INTECIN y se basa en un transistor de efecto campo que cambia su voltaje umbral cuando está expuesto a radiación ionizante. El sistema estima la dosis absorbida leyendo el voltaje umbral antes y después de la sesión de radiación, controlando los factores ambientales para una correcta medición. Tiene una interfaz de usuario fácil de usar que permite al personal de radioterapia operarlo con un teclado numérico o una computadora. TockOS es un sistema operativo de tiempo real escrito en Rust que posee un diseño muy accesible para realizar migraciones a nuevas plataformas. Se enfocó el trabajo en el desarrollo de distintos módulos que se usaron para ejecutar exitosamente hasta dos aplicaciones en simultáneo. La administración de los recursos de la plataforma por parte del sistema operativo permite que los distintos módulos compartan su uso. En la elaboración de este trabajo se aplicaron los conocimientos adquiridos sobre micro-arquitecturas, utilización de sistemas operativos de tiempo real, protocolos de comunicación y programación de micro-controladores.
