Primeramente se presenta un modelo matemático que describe la dinámica de la aeronave, considerando los aspectos constructivos y la dinámica de los actuadores. Para esto, se evalúa el uso de diferentes herramientas matemáticas para la descripción de la orientación de la aeronave, comparando sus ventajas y desventajas ante diversas situaciones de operación. Luego se prosigue por la identificación de los parámetros del quadrotor, realizando los ensayos correspondientes en diferentes bancos de prueba y analizando los resultados obtenidos. A continuación se procede a la síntesis de los controladores a utilizar, optando por sintetizar un control PID y un control LQR. Como parte de la estrategia de control, se proponen dos formas de estabilización de la aeronave, siendo una de ellas la rotación de trayectoria mínima y la otra proponiendo una estabilización con trayectoria libre. A continuación se simula el sistema en Matlab, se analizan los resultados y se obtienen conclusiones acerca del funcionamiento esperado en la implementación en el sistema real. Como paso final, se presentan y analizan los resultados obtenidos a partir de ensayos realizados sobre un quadrotor en un banco de pruebas. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es diseñar, implementar y validar una biblioteca de algoritmos de control para ser utilizada en un Real Time Control System - Sistema de Control de Tiempo Real (RTCS). Los sistemas dinámicos modernos están compuestos por diversos procesos que necesitan ser controlador para cumplir con los requerimientos de la aplicación. Para cumplir con dichos requerimientos, es habitual que se utilicen sistemas embebidos que deben ejecutar diferentes algoritmos de control de manera concurrente y a la vez deben ejecutar otras tareas como atender protocolos de comunicación, administrar interfaces gráficas de usuario, etc. La biblioteca desarrollada en esta tesis atiende en forma autónoma las tareas asociadas a los algoritmos de control, de modo que el programador pueda concentrar sus esfuerzos en las otras tareas de diseño del sistema embebido. La misma administra de manera eficiente los diferentes controladores instanciados. Los resultados presentados, demuestran que la biblioteca puede ser efectivamente portada a un microcontrolador económico como el LPC1769 Cortex-M3 y desarrollar en el mismo un excelente desempeño general. Además del objetivo principal, se plantean los siguientes objetivos secundarios:1. Conseguir que esta biblioteca de algoritmos de control para sistemas embebidos, sea independiente del microcontrolador y del Real Time Operating System - Sistema Operativo de Tiempo Real (RTOS) que se utilicen en aplicaciones de la misma. Se pretende implementar una solución libre, gratuita y con una estructura tal que le permita ser flexible y escalable. 2. Lograr que la biblioteca pueda instanciar un número genérico de algoritmos de control (limitado en función de los recursos del hardware utilizado) y que los mismos se ejecuten de manera concurrente cumpliendo con restricciones temporales duras. Esta característica es particularmente útil en los sistemas dinámicos modernos que están compuestos de muchos procesos a controlar. 3. Incluir en el sistema RTCS, por lo menos un esquema de scheduling con su respectivo test de schedulability. Esto último tiene como finalidad poder garantizar que los algoritmos de control instanciados cumplan con las restricciones temporales impuestas. 4. Incluir en el sistema RTCS los algoritmos de control Proportional Integrative Derivative - Proporcional Integrativo Derivativo (PID) y Dynamic Matrix Control - Control por Matriz Dinámica (DMC). La implementación de la biblioteca y de los algoritmos de control se realiza en el lenguaje de programación estándar C y la validación de los mismos se realiza mediante la técnica Hardware In the Loop (HIL) a partir de comprar los resultados que se obtienen al ejecutar los algoritmos en la libRTCS y en el Matlab. Se pretende disponer de un esquema con varios controladores PID (cada uno ejecutándose a una frecuencia diferente) y varios controladores DMC que puedan manejar las referencias de los primeros con el objetivo de optimizar el desempeño de un sistema dinámico en algún sentido. 5. Adaptar los algoritmos de control para que puedan ser ejecutados en microcontroladores de bajos recursos, que no poseen Float Unit Point - Unidad de Punto Flotante (FPU). Por último, cabe destacar, que la innovación en este trabajo está dada por: - Aportar una biblioteca de algoritmos de control para sistemas embebidos que es independiente del microcontrolador y del RTOS utilizados en cada aplicación, que puede ejecutar diferentes algoritmos de control en tiempo real de manera concurrente, que es flexible, fácilmente expansible con nuevas estrategias de control y soporta diferentes test de schedulability. - Realizar la portación de la biblioteca de algoritmos de control implementada a un procesador con tecnología Cortex-M3. Dentro del gran abanico de procesadores de 32 bits modernos que existen en la actualidad, el Cortex-M3 puede ser considerado un procesador de recursos medios a bajos. Hacer la portación de una biblioteca de código que permite implementar sistemas de control de tiempo real a un procesador como el Cortex-M3 es un trabajo innovador y de gran utilidad práctica, tanto en el ámbito académico como en el ámbito industrial. En el Capítulo 1 se presenta una introducción a la temática de esta tesis. En el Capítulo 2 se presenta el marco teórico necesario para este trabajo. Facultad de Ingeniería Abstract A summary of the resource. El objetivo principal de esta tesis es el estudio de la reacción de reformado de glicerol con vapor de agua para producir hidrógeno. Con tal fin, se optimiza la preparación de catalizadores soportados de Ni-Mg-Al y se analizan los efectos de las variables del proceso sobre la conversión de glicerol y rendimientos a productos gaseosos. Se describe la situación de los biocombustibles, entre ellos el biodiesel, en el contexto de la necesidad de conceder valor agregado al glicerol. Se presenta además, el concepto novedoso de biorefinería. Se realiza también, un análisis pormenorizado de los trabajos publicados en la reacción de reformado de glicerol, considerando principalmente los catalizadores utilizados (fase activa y soporte) y las condiciones de reacción consideradas. Como así también, se consideran diversos trabajos relacionados con el sistema catalítico Ni-Mg-Al. Se presentan los resultados del análisis termodinámico de la reacción de reformado de glicerol con vapor de agua implementando el método estequiometrico, con el objeto de identificar las condiciones de reacción en las cuales se maximiza la producción de hidrógeno minimizando la formación de carbón. En el desarrollo experimental, se presentan las diferentes técnicas de caracterización empleadas para el estudio de los catalizadores. Se describe el equipo de flujo utilizado para los ensayos catalíticos y la técnica cromatográfica y finalmente se definen los diferentes parámetros considerados para la evaluación catalítica. En lo que respecta a la optimización de la preparación del catalizador de Ni-Mg-Al, se realiza un extenso estudio en el cual se analiza en forma sistemática el efecto de los distintos contenidos de Mg(II) y Ni(II) y los efectos de la temperatura de calcinación del soporte modificado y de calcinación de los catalizadores, sobre las características texturales y estructurales de los sólidos y sobre la actividad catalítica. Procurando correlacionar las características de los sólidos con los resultados de actividad catalítica. Se estudia la influencia de las variables del proceso de reformado (temperatura de reacción, tiempo de contacto y composición de alimentanción), sobre los resultados de actividad catalítica para el catalizador de NiMgAl obtenido por impregnación y para otro catalizador preparado a partir del hidróxido doble laminar de NiMgAl, con probada actividad en la reacción de reformado con vapor de etanol. A partir de este estudio, resulta factible postular un esquema de reacciones para ambos catalizadores. Asimismo, del análisis del efecto de la composición de la alimentación sobre los resultados de conversión y rendimiento a H2 se propone un posible mecanismo de reacción para el reformado de glicerol con vapor. Finalmente, se comparan los resultados de actividad catalítica obtenidos para ambos catalizadores bajo las mismas condiciones de reacción y se correlacionan con los resultados de caracterización de los sólidos. Se consideran también, en este punto, estudios de estabilidad y de formación de carbón para ambos catalizadores. The main objective of this research is to study the steam reforming of glycerol to produce hydrogen. To this end, the preparation of supported catalysts Ni-Mg-Al is optimized. Additionally, the effect of process variables on glycerol conversion and yields to gaseous products are analysed. In order, to contextualize this research and to explain why it necessary to add value to glycerol, a synthesis regarding biofuels status including biodiesel is performed. Furthermore, the concept of biorefineries is considered. A detailed analysis of the published bibliography as regards the steam reforming of glycerol is done; mainly considering the catalysts employed (active phase and support) and the reaction conditions. Moreover, various studies related to the catalytic system Ni-Mg-Al are taken into account. Results from the thermodynamic analysis of the steam reforming of glycerol, obtained by the stoichiometric method, are presented. The aim is to identify the reactions conditions in order to maximize hydrogen production while carbon formation is minimized. In the experimental section, the different characterization technique employed to study catalysts are described. Also, a description of both the equipment used for catalyst evaluation and the chromatographic technique are included. The different parameters considered for catalytic evaluation are considered. As regards to the optimization of the preparation of Ni-Mg-Al catalysts, a large study is performed; considering the following variables: the calcination temperature of the support and of the catalysts, Mg(II) and Ni(II) contents. An attempt to correlate the textural and structural characteristics of the solids with the catalytic performance is done. The effect on the catalytic activity of the variables of the process (reaction temperature, contact time and feed composition), for both catalysts, are analysed. Based on these studies, it is feasible to propose a reaction scheme for the steam reforming over both catalysts. As well, the effect of reactants ratio in the feed is considered, in order to propose a kinetic behaviour. Finally, the activity results for both catalysts obtained under the same reaction conditions are compared and correlated with the corresponding characterization results. In addition, stability test and coke formation studies for both catalysts are considered. Facultad de Ingeniería Abstract A summary of the resource. En el control de la polarización los materiales uniaxiales son extensamente utilizados, ya sea como polarizadores o retardadores. Hemos desarrollado esta Tesis a partir del estudio teórico de medios uniaxiales, haciendo énfasis en las características de retardo. En particular, se han estudiado los retardadores mediante el desfasaje que éstos introducen. Para esto hemos analizado distintas configuraciones en reexión y en transmisión, tanto en forma teórica como experimental. Como herramientas de análisis y caracterización hemos propuesto el estudio de patrones de interferencia. Este estudio ha dado lugar a la aplicación de distintas técnicas de interferometría y se han propuesto implementaciones innovadoras. Entre los resultados más relevantes que esta Tesis proporciona se encuentran fórmulas explícitas del desfasaje en medios uniaxiales que son deducidas en forma analítica a partir de las Ecuaciones de Maxwell, sin restricciones a casos particulares. Este resultado nos ha permitido estudiar componentes importantes para el control de la polarización como las láminas retardadoras, brindándonos herramientas para analizar su desempeño como retardadores así como imperfecciones de fabricación. Por otro lado, la generalidad de los resultados obtenidos nos permite no sólo el estudio de láminas retardadoras sino que también el de cristales uniaxiales, con distintos clivajes y cortes, a partir de patrones de interferencia conoscópicos. De este modo, los resultados teóricos y experimentales permiten estudiar a los cristales o a los retardadores y caracterizarlos ópticamente así como obtener sus características de retardo. Las características de retardo que estudiamos las hemos aplicado para desarrollar herramientas de interferometría. Esto ha dado lugar, por un lado, a un simple introductor secuencial de desfasajes que utilizamos en técnicas de interferometría por saltos de fase como desfasador, y por otro lado, a un analizador de fase birrefringente que permite medir desfasajes. Las herramientas que hemos desarrollado en esta Tesis, se utilizaron para caracterizar experimentalmente a cristales uniaxiales y a dispositivos retardadores comerciales. Uniaxial crystals are widely used in polarization control, either as polarizers or retarders. This work is mainly focused on the retardance characteristics associated to uniaxial crystals. We study retarders by means of the phase shift they introduce. In order to do so, we theoretically and experimentally analyze diferent reection and transmission setups. We propose the study of fringe patterns as tools of analysis and characterization of birefringent retarders and uniaxial crystals. Moreover, we apply diferent interferometric techniques according to the characteristics of the patterns. This study has led us to implement novel techniques. Among the most relevant results this Thesis others, we can nd explicit formulae for the phase shift in uniaxial media. These expressions are analytically deduced from Maxwell Equations, with no limits on the optical axis orientation, direction of incidence, or level of birefringence. This result allowed us to study important components for the control of polarization, such as wave plates. We developed tools to analyze their performance as retarders, and _nd manufacturing imperfections. Moreover, the generality of the results obtained allows us not only to study retarder plates, but also the retarding characteristics of uniaxial crystals with diferent cleavages and cuts. We show how to characterize both wave plates and anisotropic crystals by means of theoretical and experimental analysis of conoscopic interference patterns. The retardance characteristics studied were used to develop a simple phase shifter, which was applied in phase shifting interferometry techniques. We also designed a birefringent phase analyzer that measures phase shifts. These techniques were used to experimentally characterize uniaxial crystals and commercial retarders. El objeto de estudio de esta tesis son los sistemas complejos: sistemas integrados por una gran cantidad de elementos que interactúan entre sí y de cuya interacción surge un comportamiento colectivo organizado. El tamaño de estos sistemas hace que sea prácticamente imposible estudiar su evolución a nivel microscópico. Esto obliga a desarrollar metodologías de trabajo en parte distintas a las de otras áreas de la ciencia. En el área de Sistemas Complejos es de fundamental importancia la construcción de modelos. A través de los modelos se busca reproducir el comportamiento macroscópico de los sistemas complejos e inferir lo que sucede a pequeña escala en término medio, o cuál será el comportamiento macroscópico si el sistema aumenta su tamaño. La simulación de un sistema es la ejecución de un modelo con el fin de reproducir sus comportamientos. Durante la simulación se aplican las reglas de interacción a las variables definidas en el modelo. Para que el modelo sea útil, y considerando que los sistemas están constituidos por una cantidad grande de componentes, es importante que las reglas del modelo sean simples, y escalen lo más eficientemente posible con el tamaño del sistema. Un buen modelo debe entonces encontrar un punto intermedio adecuado entre la minuciosidad de la descripción, la precisión de sus resultados y la escalabilidad. La variedad de modelos existentes en esta área se corresponde con la imposibilidad de que un único modelo capture en forma íntegra el comportamiento del sistema. En esta tesis estudiamos los modelos combinatorios de sistemas complejos, que son aquellos en que el sistema se modela a través de una red, a la que denominamos red compleja. En su forma más general, una red es un conjunto de nodos conectados entre sí a través de aristas, y se representa matemáticamente través de un grafo.
