Para ello es necesario reconocer el material que compone a cada capa y localizar los puntos de contacto entre cada par de materiales consecutivos. Con esta finalidad, se expone al material a un proceso estacionario, unidimensional, simple y no invasivo de transferencia de calor. Se considera una barra embebida en un fluido (líquido o gaseoso) compuesta por tres segmentos consecutivos con dos interfaces de tipo sólido-sólido, donde cada tramo corresponde a un material isótropo y homogéneo. En el borde izquierdo se impone una condición de tipo Dirichlet que indica temperatura constante y en el derecho de tipo Robin para modelar el fenómeno de convección. Hallar una solución a este tipo de problemas, conociendo todos los parámetros del modelo y las condiciones de borde, se lo denomina problema directo. En este trabajo se obtienen las soluciones analíticas explicitas mediante técnicas de Fourier. Las soluciones son incluidas en esta tesis con el fin de presentar un trabajo autocontenido. Para determinar el material tricapa desconocido, obtener una caracterización matemática más precisa del fenómeno estudiado y desarrollar criterios que mejoren las técnicas de medición; se puede recurrir a la estimación de parámetros del modelo. Éstos son denominados problemas inversos y se encuentran relacionados con el problema directo. En esta tesis se tratan dos problemas inversos. El primer problema inverso consiste en la localización simultánea de los dos puntos de contacto entre cada par de materiales. Para ello se utilizan dos mediciones de temperatura, una en la mitad de la barra y otra en el extremo derecho de la misma. El segundo problema inverso consiste en la determinación de los materiales que componen la barra, a partir de la estimación de las conductividades térmicas de cada material. Dichos parámetros se obtienen utilizando tres mediciones de temperatura, una en cada interfaz y otra en el borde derecho de la barra. Ambos problemas se resuelven analíticamente y se da una cota para el error cometido en la aproximación de cada parámetro. Además, se realiza un análisis de elasticidad para conocer la dependencia local de cada parámetro estimado con los datos utilizados. In this thesis we seek to characterize an unknown three-layer material. To do this, it is necessary to recognize the material that makes up each layer and locate the contact points between each pair of consecutive materials. For this purpose, the material is exposed to a stationary, one-dimensional, simple and non-invasive process of heat transfer. It is considered a bar embedded in a fluid (liquid or gas) is considered to be composed of three consecutive segments with two solid-solid type interfaces, where each section corresponds to an isotropic and homogeneous material. On the left edge, a Dirichlet-type condition is imposed, indicating constant temperature, and on the right, a Robin-type condition to model the convection phenomenon. Finding a solution to this type of problem, knowing all the parameters of the model and the boundary conditions, is called a forward problem. In this work, explicit analytical solutions are obtained using Fourier techniques. The solutions are included in this thesis in order to present a self-contained work. To determine the unknown three-layer material, obtain a more precise mathematical characterization of the phenomenon studied and develop criteria that improve measurement techniques; the estimation of model parameters can be performed. These are called inverse problems and are related to the forward problem. Two inverse problems are dealt with in this thesis. The first inverse problem consists of the simultaneous location of the two points of contact between each pair of materials. To do this, two temperature measurements are used, one in the middle of the bar and another at the right end of it. The second inverse problem consists of determining the materials that make up the bar, based on the estimation of the thermal conductivities of each material. These parameters are obtained using three temperature measurements, one at each interface and another at the right edge of the bar. Both problems are solved analytically and a bound is given for the error made in the approximation of each parameter. In addition, an elasticity analysis is performed to find out the local dependence of each parameter estimated with the data used. En el presente trabajo se determinó la producción de RSU (residuos sólidos urbanos) y FORSU (fracción orgánica de RSU) del municipio de Chilca (provincia Huancayo, departamento Junín, Perú), se evaluó su tratamiento biológico mediante compostaje, y se estimaron dosis de aplicación de compost y posible superficie a recuperar. Se estimó que se generan 0,58 kg/hab.día de RSU como promedio de la producción de los cuatro estratos socio económicos dominantes en Chilca y que 48,8% corresponde al material orgánico (FORSU). En base al número de habitantes del año 2017 se determinó una disponibilidad de materia orgánica factible de ser compostada de 20,9 t/día y 7618 t/año. El ensayo de compostaje se realizó con material separado en la planta de tratamiento de RSU, dado que la respuesta de la población a la separación en la fuente fue escasa; se instalaron pilas sin estructurante (SE) y con estructurante (CE) y se determinó la calidad del producto final. A pesar del predominio de un clima desfavorable debido a condici nes extremas de precipitación y temperatura, se obtuvo un compost adecuado en cuanto a madurez y características fisicoquímicas, con pocas diferencias entre SE y CE, y similar a otros compost de FORSU reportados en la bibliografía. La principal limitación fue la concentración de los metales pesados Cd, Pb y Zn, que estuvieron cercanos o superaron el límite máximo de varias normas; por ejemplo, de acuerdo a la norma chilena corresponden a la Clase B, considerada un nivel intermedio de calidad agrícola, pero superan los límites de la norma argentina. Por esta razón, se estimaron dosis de aplicación precautorias usando las restricciones de carga anual y carga máxima admitida en 10 años de metales pesados según las normas argentinas de compost y lodos cloacales, que resultaron en 25 t/ha.año (p.s.) y 85 t/ha en 10 años (p.s.). Corrigiendo por humedad, la dosis precautoria fue 40 t/ha.año (p.h.). En base a los valores de disponibilidad de FORSU de Chilca, la producción potencial de compost y la dosis precautoria, se estimó la superficie de aplicación con fines agrícolas en 60-80 hectáreas por año, que pueden ser más si se usan dosis más bajas. Este trabajo ofrece información valiosa para elaborar un plan de manejo de FORSU que cierre el ciclo desde su producción, tratamiento y uso final beneficioso en el municipio de Chilca. Main objectives of this work were (i) to determine the production of municipal solid waste (MSW) and the waste organic fraction (OFMSW) of Chilca city (Huancayo province, Junín department, Perú), (ii) to evaluate the biological treatment of OFMSW through composting, and (iii) to estimate compost application doses and potential land surface to be restored. As average of the four socioeconomic strata of Chilca, a MSW generation of 0.58 kg/hab.d was determined, 48.8% corresponding to OFMSW. Based on the population census of 2017, the availability of organic material for composting was 20.9 t/d and 7618 t/yr. The composting trial was conducted employing waste separated in the MSW treatment plant, because the population response to source segregation was scarce. Composting piles with and without bulking agents (CE and SE, respectively) were installed and the quality of the final products were determined. Despite the unfavorable climate conditions prevalent in the region (extreme temperatures and precipitation), compost maturity and physicochemical properties were similar to other MSW composts reported elsewhere, and with little differences between SE and CE. The main quality limitation was the concentration of the heavy metals Cd, Pb and Zn, which were near or above the limits established in several regulations; for example, according to the Chilean regulation for heavy metals, the compost quality corresponded to Class B, an intermediate quality level; however, concentrations of these elements were higher than limits established in the Argentinian compost regulation. For this reason, annual limits and cumulative loading limits for 10-yr applications were employed to calculate precautionary doses based on Argentinian regulations for composts and biosolids, which resulted in 25 t/ha.yr (dry weight) and 85 t/ha in 10 years (dry weight). Correcting by moisture content, the precautionary dose was 40 t/ha.yr (wet weight). Based on FORSU availability, compost production and the precautionary dose, 60-80 hectares per year might be amended with the composts for agricultural use, and even more if lower doses are employed. This work offers valuable information to prepare a management plan for Chilca’s FORSU, closing the cycle of production, treatment and beneficial use. Este trabajo presenta un estudio integral de las vibraciones registradas en las inmediaciones de distintas autopistas de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, evaluando el impacto de la operación de éstas en zonas altamente pobladas, en base a las vibraciones producidas, sus características y los principales factores que inciden en su magnitud. Se realiza una introducción de la forma de propagación de las vibraciones en el terreno, cómo se las caracteriza y cómo las distintas normativas -tanto nacionales como internacionales- evalúan el efecto que éstas tienen en el desarrollo de la vida urbana. Luego se diseña y realiza una extensa campaña de medición a lo largo de la traza de las Autopistas 25 de Mayo y Perito Moreno. El objetivo de la campaña fue, en primer lugar, medir el nivel de vibraciones existente en las inmediaciones de la autopista y establecer si los valores obtenidos son admisibles en términos de confort y de daño estructural y cosmético según distintas normativas, construyendo una Línea de base de vibraciones. En segundo lugar, determinar que proporción de lo medido corresponde efectivamente a la autopista y que a otras fuentes; y en tercer lugar, definir cuáles son los factores que influyen en la magnitud de las vibraciones producidas por la operación de la autopista (juntas, tipos de vehículos, etc.). Se logró establecer que, para el caso de confort, las vibraciones producidas pueden ser percibidas pero que es poco probable que produzcan molestias en las personas que habitan en las inmediaciones a la autopista; y que, para el efecto sobre las estructuras, no existirán daños de ningún tipo a las edificaciones, siempre que no sean edificios históricos ni estructuras informales para las cuales no se tiene información. Además, se concluyó que el subterráneo genera mayores niveles de vibración que la autopista, pero debido al rango de percepción de las personas -entre 0,5Hz y 80Hz- la influencia en el confort es similar; en cambio, para el caso del efecto sobre las estructuras la influencia es similar. Luego, se determinó que la estructura de la autopista elevada genera una modificación de las características de las vibraciones producidas por el tráfico vehicular (cuya magnitud depende principalmente de los camiones) y que las juntas amplifican las vibraciones producidas por los vehículos. Con el objetivo de buscar la causa de la modificación del espectro de frecuencias se realizó un modelo estructural dinámico. Por último, se analizaron distintas medidas de mitigación de vibraciones. En particular, aquellas metodologías que buscan obtener parámetros modales de una estructura se encuadran en lo que se define como experimental modal analysis (análisis modal experimental) o EMA. En la década del 90 se desarrollaron los primeros output-only models, metodologías que trabajan únicamente con la medición de la respuesta.La gran ventaja de estos métodos es que permiten obtener los parámetros modales sin requerir una excitación impuesta, es suficiente con la medición de la vibración ambiente. Es por ello que estos métodos se engloban bajo el término de operational modal analysis (análisis modal operacional) u OMA, midiendo la respuesta de la estructura durante su estado normal de servicio (“operación”) se obtienen los parámetros buscados. Existen dos grandes corrientes respecto a la forma de implementar estos métodos: los que trabajan en el dominio del tiempo, y los que trabajan en el dominio de la frecuencia. En términos generales, los métodos en el dominio del tiempo trabajan ajustando la respuesta a partir de las correlaciones entre señales, mientras que los métodos en el dominio de la frecuencia utilizan las densidades de potencia espectral. Recordando que la relación entre ambas es la Transformada de Fourier, la información que manejan es la misma, pero representada de distinta forma.
