Este trabajo presenta una primera evaluación del nuevo sistema de monitoreo de vibraciones Wireless desarrollado en conjunto entre el Laboratorio de Dinámica de Estructuras y el Departamento de Electrónica de la Facultad en términos de su capacidad para ser utilizado en la actualización de modelos computacionales de puentes a partir de ensayos dinámicos. En primer lugar se discuten las técnicas de caracterización dinámica de estructuras a partir del análisis modal operacional en el dominio de la frecuencia. También se estudian algunas de las metodologías de actualización de modelos disponibles en la literatura, poniendo énfasis en aquellas empleadas en puentes. Luego, se lleva adelante la caracterización de los sensores que componen el nuevo sistema de monitoreo, comparando su desempeño contra el de acelerómetros comerciales comúnmente utilizados en el Laboratorio. Dado que las técnicas de caracterización dinámica más robustas exigen que las mediciones de los distintos puntos de la estructura estén perfectamente sincronizadas, se evalúa también la calidad de la sincronización que permite el sistema Wireless y su estabilidad en el tiempo. Las pruebas sugieren que el rango de frecuencias en el que mejor desempeño presenta este nuevo sistema es adecuado para llevar adelante la caracterización dinámica de estructuras civiles. Las técnicas de caracterización dinámica y las metodologías de actualización de modelos se implementan en dos etapas: en un modelo de pequeñas dimensiones en el marco controlado de un laboratorio y en un puente real. Ambas estructuras, pudieron ser caracterizadas experimentalmente a partir de ensayos dinámicos con el nuevo sistema Wireless; se obtuvieron las frecuencias y los modos de vibración naturales. Posteriormente, sus modelos computacionales son actualizados de forma automatizada variando ciertas características del modelo hasta lograr que los parámetros modales experimentales y analíticos coincidan. De esta forma se obtiene un modelo numérico actualizado que refleja de mejor manera el comportamiento real de la estructura. En el presente trabajo, se caracterizaron transistores de óxido grueso (600 nm) construidos previamente con el fin de ser utilizados como sensores y se evaluó una propuesta de método de medición. Además, se halló un ajuste de los datos obtenidos de las mediciones a través de un modelo basado en los fenómenos físicos involucrados. Se midió la respuesta de los dosímetros frente a distintas tensiones de polarización, la sensibilidad en función de la tensión umbral y del ángulo de incidencia de la radiación, el efecto de fading, el porcentaje de dosis en profundidad, la dependencia con el campo de irradiación y la dependencia del dispositivo con la temperatura. Las caracterizaciones frente a radiación se llevaron a cabo con un acelerador lineal (LINAC) de 6 MV. Al evaluar la sensibilidad con la tensión de polarización de gate se obtuvo para V BIAS = 0 V 74 mV/Gy, y luego aumentando hasta obtener con V BIAS = 24 V 270 mV/Gy. Trabajando con V BIAS = 0 V se obtuvo un rango de medición de 85 Gy con una sensibilidad promedio de 62 mV/Gy. La profundidad de dosis máxima medida fue 1,3 cm, igual que la cámara de ionización usada como referencia. La respuesta angular presentó una variación menor al 8 %. El coeficiente térmico resultó ser -3,5 mV/ o C. Se observó que el modelo numérico reproduce correctamente la respuesta del sensor a la radiación, en particular la sensibilidad del mismo en función de la tensión V BIAS y la evolución con la dosis de la tensión umbral para una tensión V BIAS = 12 V constante. Considerando un único parámetro de ajuste dado por el producto de la densidad de defectos y la tasa de captura de huecos, el error máximo obtenido es menor al 9 %. A partir del ajuste previo, se simuló la respuesta del sensor durante una medición con V BIAS alternado entre 20 V y 0 V, observándose cómo la simulación predice el comportamiento general del sensor. Se propuso y evaluó un sistema de medición que permite utilizar al dosímetro MOS polarizado con un capacitor que evita el uso de cables y permite obtener mayor sensibilidad. Las pruebas realizadas con una fuente de Sr-90 permitieron observar que para un dispositivo previamente irradiado existe un efecto de fading inicial que influye considerablemente en la respuesta. Una vez extinguido este fenómeno las mediciones presentaron valor medio constante y con una dispersión de 2,6 %. Esto reduce las pérdidas de conmutación en los transistores de potencia, lo que además de mejorar el rendimiento permite aprovechar mejor los dispositivos, lográndose extraer mayores potencias que las habituales en un convertidor con esta estructura. Sin embargo, el uso de un ciclo de servicio asimétrico introduce una polarización magnética de continua en el núcleo del transformador que haría a éste de mayor tamaño y con mayores pérdidas en el material magnético del núcleo. Esto se mitiga considerando que en una aplicación para cargadores de baterías la potencia a transferir cuando éstas están cargadas es muy pequeña y por ende, las pérdidas se tornan muy pequeñas al ser solamente una fracción de la potencia transferida. El convertidor se proyecta para que en el régimen de plena carga el ciclo de servicio esté próximo a un valor óptimo de forma que la polarización magnética continua sea muy pequeña y sus efectos adversos resulten despreciables. Por otra parte, cuando la batería a recargar sufrió una descarga profunda, la carga se realiza con una característica de repliegue que reduce la corriente inicial de carga para no dañar a la batería. Esto, a su vez, reduce la potencia a suministrar por el convertidor disminuyendo las pérdidas propias de operar con un ciclo de servicio muy alejado del valor correspondiente a plena carga. De esta manera, para esta aplicación particular se aprovechan las ventajas de la conmutación suave sin introducir los inconvenientes propios de operar con ciclos de servicio asimétricos. El trabajo presenta los fundamentos teóricos de este tipo de convertidores, simulaciones numéricas y una realización experimental para probar la conveniencia de la propuesta para aplicaciones en cargadores de potencias comprendidas entre 2 y 3 kW. A DC-DC converter with half-bridge topology structure is presented which, by adopting an asymmetric duty cycle, allows for the soft switching characteristic to be incorporated. This reduces the switching losses in the power transistors, which, in addition to improving performance, allows better use of the devices, being able to extract higher powers than usual in a converter with this topology. However, the use of an asymmetric duty cycle introduces a DC magnetic bias in the transformer core that would make the transformer larger and with higher losses in the magnetic material of the core. This is mitigated considering in an application for battery chargers the power to be transferred when the batteries are charged is very small and therefore, the losses become very small as they are only a fraction of the power transferred. The converter is designed so that in full load the duty cycle is close to an optimum value so that the continuous magnetic polarization is very small and its adverse effects are negligible. On the other hand, when the battery to be recharged has been deeply discharged, charging is performed with a fallback feature that reduces the initial charging current so as not to damage the battery. This, in turn, reduces the power to be supplied by the converter, reducing the losses inherent to operating with a duty cycle far to the value corresponding to full load. In this way, for this particular application, the advantages of soft switching are used without introducing the drawbacks of operating with asymmetric duty cycles. The work presents the theoretical foundations of this type of converters, numerical simulations and an experimental realization to test the suitability of the proposal for applications in chargers with powers between 2 and 3 kW. En la presente memoria se describe el desarrollo de CIAABOT, una plataforma libre de robótica educativa que funciona sobre la CIAA. El objetivo es facilitar la enseñanza de materias básicas y programación en escuelas, utilizando la robótica como herramienta. Para esto se desarrolló una interfaz de programación gráfica, para reducir la dificultad de la sintaxis. Para cumplir con los objetivos planteados se aplicaron técnicas de programación como división de responsabilidades por capas, modularización y servicios. También se utilizaron herramientas de desarrollo, entre ellas control de versiones, debug y testing. Se aplicaron a su vez conocimientos adquiridos en la especialización de diseño de PCB y gestión de proyectos.
