Este trabajo presenta un estudio integral de las vibraciones registradas en las inmediaciones de distintas autopistas de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, evaluando el impacto de la operación de éstas en zonas altamente pobladas, en base a las vibraciones producidas, sus características y los principales factores que inciden en su magnitud. Se realiza una introducción de la forma de propagación de las vibraciones en el terreno, cómo se las caracteriza y cómo las distintas normativas -tanto nacionales como internacionales- evalúan el efecto que éstas tienen en el desarrollo de la vida urbana. Luego se diseña y realiza una extensa campaña de medición a lo largo de la traza de las Autopistas 25 de Mayo y Perito Moreno. El objetivo de la campaña fue, en primer lugar, medir el nivel de vibraciones existente en las inmediaciones de la autopista y establecer si los valores obtenidos son admisibles en términos de confort y de daño estructural y cosmético según distintas normativas, construyendo una Línea de base de vibraciones. En segundo lugar, determinar que proporción de lo medido corresponde efectivamente a la autopista y que a otras fuentes; y en tercer lugar, definir cuáles son los factores que influyen en la magnitud de las vibraciones producidas por la operación de la autopista (juntas, tipos de vehículos, etc.). Se logró establecer que, para el caso de confort, las vibraciones producidas pueden ser percibidas pero que es poco probable que produzcan molestias en las personas que habitan en las inmediaciones a la autopista; y que, para el efecto sobre las estructuras, no existirán daños de ningún tipo a las edificaciones, siempre que no sean edificios históricos ni estructuras informales para las cuales no se tiene información. Además, se concluyó que el subterráneo genera mayores niveles de vibración que la autopista, pero debido al rango de percepción de las personas -entre 0,5Hz y 80Hz- la influencia en el confort es similar; en cambio, para el caso del efecto sobre las estructuras la influencia es similar. Luego, se determinó que la estructura de la autopista elevada genera una modificación de las características de las vibraciones producidas por el tráfico vehicular (cuya magnitud depende principalmente de los camiones) y que las juntas amplifican las vibraciones producidas por los vehículos. Con el objetivo de buscar la causa de la modificación del espectro de frecuencias se realizó un modelo estructural dinámico. Por último, se analizaron distintas medidas de mitigación de vibraciones.

El impacto de la geofísica en la industria del Litio

Se introduce al entendimiento de las bondades y debilidades de los diferentes métodos geofísicos en el problema de exploración de Litio, comparando así la respuesta de los mismos a través de casos de estudio en la Puna Argentina; se recorrerá un flujo de trabajo desde la planificación de la adquisición hasta la construcción del modelo estático y se discutirá sobre el estado del arte y el futuro de las tecnologías geofísicas. Se revisan los puntos débiles de las tecnologías descartadas, y se presenta una metodología multifisíca (magnetotelúrica de tensor completo, tomografía de resistividad eléctrica y gravedad) efectiva en prospección de salares, validándose la misma en el salar de Pozuelos. La interpretación geofísica está en concordancia con los pozos de exploración someros y profundos; además, se integraron la magnetotelúrica y la gravedad a través de la construcción de pseudo-pozos. Finalmente, la integración de datos geofísicos y de pozo permitió la construcción de un modelo estático en Pozuelos, que encuentra en 900 metros de profundidad la zona más profunda del basamento y discrimina ocho litofacies. Este modelo estático será la base del modelo dinámico que impactará en ajustes económicos.

Este estudio explora las habilidades de las redes neuronales convolucionales (CNN) en la detección de crisis epilépticas en electroencefalogramas intracraneales (iEEG), utilizando la arquitectura VGG16. Describimos el desarrollo de CNN con el objetivo de emular la capacidad de un epileptólogo en la interpretación de iEEG, aunque dicha CNN también podría utilizarse para en EEG convencionales. La red se entrena para identificar tres estados relacionados con las crisis: “crisis inminente”, “peligro de crisis” y “fuera de peligro”, representados por los colores “rojo”, “amarillo” y “verde” respectivamente. Este enfoque busca investigar hasta qué punto una CNN puede equipararse al juicio experto de un especialista en epilepsia en la detección de crisis en iEEG. Todo el proceso se implementa en Python, utilizando las bibliotecas Keras para el diseño de las redes y Pandas junto con NumPy para el análisis de datos.

La exploración y producción de reservorios no convencionales ha surgido como una oportunidad para satisfacer la demanda de hidrocarburos, acelerando así el desarrollo científico y tecnológico en varias áreas de las geociencias, en particular prospección geofísica, que contribuyen tanto al entendimiento del reservorio no convencional como a la caracterización de la geometría y evolución de fractura hidráulica. Los reservorios no convencionales se caracterizan por presentar (respecto de los convencionales) un alto grado de anisotropía, es decir la variación de sus propiedades físicas con la dirección considerada. Por otro lado, dentro de las tecnologías de seguimiento de la evolución de la fractura hidráulica, la tecnología microsísmica es una herramienta útil; sin embargo, debido a su bajo grado de sensibilidad al fluido en poro, no es del todo efectiva en la determinación del volumen de reservorio estimulado, cantidad importante para el evaluar la efectividad de la terminación del pozo y planificar el desarrollo del yacimiento. En estos dos aspectos, los métodos electromagnéticos pueden jugar un importante rol. El objetivo entonces es simular y estudiar la respuesta electromagnética generada al realizar operaciones de fractura hidráulica en un reservorio no convencional. Esto requiere por un lado estudiar su evolución dinámica y por otro lado estudiar el efecto de la anisotropía eléctrica en diferentes escenarios geológicamente plausibles antes, durante y después de la operación de fractura. Con este objetivo en mente, para obtener la solución aproximada de las ecuaciones de Maxwell se han construido simuladores 2D y 3D bajo un método de elementos finitos mixto en tiempo basado en elementos conformes de Nédélec para la discretización espacial y paso de tiempo leapfrog para la discretización en tiempo. Además, se provee un análisis de estabilidad numérica de dicho método numérico. Los resultados indican que la señal electromagnética, de largo período, está en el rango medible y las conclusiones se centran en el valor agregado de los métodos electromagnéticos a la determinación del volumen de reservorio estimulado y a la respuesta de cada campo eléctrico y magnético a cada escenario anisotrópico propuesto. En base a esta respuesta se define la sensibilidad de los campos a la configuración transmisor-receptor, la sensibilidad de los campos a la ubicación de los receptores y la sensibilidad de los campos al tipo de anisotropía o discriminación entre dos tipos de anisotropía. Finalmente, si bien se ha estudiado esta aplicación a reservorios hidrocarburíferos no convencionales, el análisis tiene aplicación a problemas de recuperación secundaria y a otro tipo de yacimientos caracterizados por la dinámica hidrogeológica de rocas anisotrópicas saturadas con salmueras como pueden ser los yacimientos de litio.
The exploration and production of unconventional reservoirs has emerged as an opportunity to satisfy the demand for hydrocarbons, thus accelerating scientific and technological developments in various areas of geosciences, in particular geophysical prospecting, which contributes to the understanding of the unconventional reservoir and to the characterization of the geometry and evolution of hydraulic fracturing. The unconventional reservoirs are characterized by presenting (with respect to conventional ones) a high degree of anisotropy, that is, the variation of their physical properties with the direction considered. On the other hand, within the technologies for monitoring the evolution of hydraulic fracturing, microseismic technology is a useful tool. However, due to its low degree of sensitivity to pore fluid, it is not very effective to determine the stimulated reservoir volume, which is an important quantity to evaluate the effectiveness of the completion of the well and plan the development of the reservoir. In these two aspects, the electromagnetic techniques might play an important role. The objective is to simulate and to study the electromagnetic response generated when performing hydraulic fracturing operations in an unconventional reservoir. This requires, on one hand, to study its dynamic evolution and, on the other hand, to study the effect of electrical anisotropy in different geologically plausible scenarios before, during and after the fracture operation. With this objective in mind, to obtain the approximate solution of Maxwell's equations, 2D and 3D simulators have been built under a time-mixed finite element method based on Nédélec conformal elements for spatial discretization and leapfrog time step for discretization in time. In addition, a numerical stability analysis of this numerical method is provided. The results indicate that the long-term electromagnetic signal is in the measurable range and the conclusions focus on the added value of electromagnetic methods to the determination of the stimulated reservoir volume and to the response of the different electric and magnetic fields to each anisotropic scenario. Based on this response, the sensitivity of the fields to the transmitter-receiver configuration, the sensitivity of the fields to the location of the receivers, and the sensitivity of the fields to the type of anisotropy or discrimination between two types of anisotropy are defined. Finally, although this application has been studied for unconventional hydrocarbon reservoirs, the analysis has application to waterflooding problems and to other types of reservoirs characterized by the hydrogeological dynamics of anisotropic rocks saturated with brines, such as lithium reservoirs.

Se desarrolló un sistema capaz de traducir en tiempo real el alfabeto dactilológico perteneciente a la Lengua de Señas Argentina a subtítulos en idioma español. Con esta solución se espera reducir la brecha comunicacional existente actualmente entre personas que padecen algún tipo de sordera en Argentina y aquellas que no comprenden su lengua de señas. El sistema emplea modelos desarrollados mediante técnicas de aprendizaje automático orientadas a la visión por computadora. Además, con el fin de maximizar el impacto de la solución, se optimizaron para ser ejecutados en plataformas móviles.

En la presente memoria se describe el diseño y desarrollo de una plataforma destinada a la generación de datasets de imágenes sintéticas para la empresa DeepAgro. El objetivo de este trabajo es agilizar y optimizar el proceso de generación de datasets utilizados en el entrenamiento de algoritmos para la detección de malezas en campos de cultivo. Con ello se busca reducir tanto el tiempo como los recursos necesarios para este fin. Para su implementación fueron fundamentales los conocimientos adquiridos en la carrera tales como conceptos de estadística y visión por computadora.

En la presente memoria se describe el diseño de un prototipo de sistema integral de domótica de índole académica. El propósito es aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos en el transcurso del posgrado. En esta primera etapa se implementan dos tipos de nodos y se agregarán a futuro nuevos elementos con otras funcionalidades. En el desarrollo del trabajo se utilizaron conocimientos de diseño de páginas web, desarrollo de código backend para el servidor, implementación de bases de datos, desarrollo de sistemas embebidos, ciberseguridad y diseño electrónico para el hardware adicional.

La presente memoria describe el diseño y desarrollo de un prototipo tecnológico que realiza acciones de monitoreo y cuidado sobre un conjunto de cultivos en una huerta. La idea nace a partir de un proyecto de investigación originado en la UNLa (Universidad Nacional de Lanús), que apunta a formar conocimiento sobre agricultura 4.0 y a trabajar en torno al concepto de empleo verde. El producto será desplegado y utilizado en el predio de la universidad, con fines tanto académicos como socio culturales. Para el desarrollo de este trabajo fueron importantes los conocimientos sobre los módulos ESP y sus posibilidades de integración con diferentes sensores. Además, se destacan los aprendizajes adquiridos en desarrollo web y bases de datos a gran escala. Finalmente, fue fundamental la comprensión de los distintos protocolos de comunicación y la seguridad con la que deben contar para operar correctamente.
