La microfluídica es una disciplina en constante crecimiento que se enfoca en el estudio, manipulación y control de fluidos en canales de escalas micrométricas. Gracias a las características únicas de los fluidos en estas pequeñas escalas y al avance constante de esta disciplina, en los últimos años se han podido diseñar y fabricar dispositivos de alto impacto en áreas de la medicina, la biotecnología, y la química. De manera general, la manipulación y control de estos dispositivos puede llevarse a cabo mediante dos métodos bien diferenciados: los activos, que requieren energía externa para funcionar, y los pasivos que no la necesitan. Debido a la complejidad que implica el uso de métodos activos, los métodos pasivos han ganado relevancia en diversas aplicaciones, especialmente en aquellas donde la simplicidad es un requerimiento de diseño. En ese sentido, diversos son los mecanismos que pueden ser empleados para impulsar los fluidos en dichos dispositivos. Sin embargo, en este trabajo haremos especial foco en la microfluídica capilar como mecanismo de impulsión y estudiaremos en detalle el llenado capilar de dispositivos basados en microcanales de secciones rectangulares con paredes rugosas y disímiles. En la primera parte de en este trabajo, proporcionaremos al lector una introducción general a la microfluídica, su historia, aplicaciones y los mecanismos utilizados para propulsar los fluidos en dichos dispositivos, con especial atención en los sistemas pasivos y el uso de la microfluídica capilar en microcanales. También, y con la finalidad de establecer las bases matemáticas y físicas de nuestro estudio presentaremos las bases teóricas del llenado capilar en microcanales, incluyendo una ecuación general que nos permitirá modelar la dinámica del llenado capilar. Luego, haremos especial foco en el estudio de la dinámica del llenado capilar en microcanales rectangulares con paredes de diferentes materiales y rugosidades. Para ello, presentaremos un modelo que nos permitirá mejorar la capacidad predictiva frente a los tradicionalmente utilizados que no contemplan defectos superficiales, rugosidades, y ángulos dependientes de la velocidad de avance. Por otro lado, y en vistas de desarrollar mejores herramientas de diseño, presentaremos un novedoso método basado en algoritmos genéticos y una herramienta numérica unidimensional especialmente desarrollada en Matlab Simulink para simular la dinámica de llenado capilar en redes complejas de microcanales abordando el problema de diseño inverso en dichas geometrías. Se emplea Python para procesar los datos y transformarlos en un problema de aprendizaje supervisado. A través de PyTorch y haciendo uso de la GPU de Google Colab, se implementa una red neuronal hibrida compuesta por una Convolutional Neural Network 1D (CNN1D) y una Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), obteniendo resultados de Sensitivity, Specificity y Accuracy comparables a los estándares de referencia para la detección de apneas. Además, se incorpora una técnica de postprocesamiento para corregir posibles errores generados por la red neuronal aplicando criterios médicos determinísticos. A partir de las correcciones se calcula como diagnostico preliminar una estimación del ´índice de eventos respiratorios. Los resultados se validan mediante la comparación gráfica con eventos reales anotados por médicos, demostrando la efectividad y precisión del sistema propuesto. El principal objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar la superficie inundada en áreas de llanura a partir del uso de imágenes SAR, Sentinel 1B banda C polarización VV y VH. El área de estudio es la cuenca superior del Arroyo Cululú, localizada en el centro oeste de la Provincia de Santa Fe - Argentina (31º 10´ Sur y 61º 50´ Oeste). Para tal fin se compararon cinco algoritmos de clasificación, uno no supervisado: clasificación polarimétrica H - alpha; y cuatro supervisados: umbral manual, detección de cambios (índice de inundación y cociente) y parámetros polarimétricos. Estos algoritmos se validaron a través de la matriz de error obteniéndose una fiabilidad global del 83,4% para el seleccionado, resultante de la aplicación conjunta de los métodos supervisados de Umbral Manual y Detección de Cambios. El mismo presenta como ventajas: simplicidad y rapidez, la explotación de los conjuntos de datos de observación de la tierra (Big Data EO), la fácil selección de umbrales y la capacidad para delimitar tanto las superficies abiertas inundadas como las cubiertas por ciertos cultivos.
