El proceso de medición, procesado y documentación es realizado en forma autónoma, sin requerir la intervención del operador. La técnica de medición de difusividad térmica, denominada “Microscopía Fototérmica Confocal” (MFC) fue desarrollada en el Laboratorio de Haces Dirigidos y permite la medición de la difusividad térmica mediante dos haces de luz de diferente longitud de onda. La técnica presenta alta resolución espacial y es no destructiva. Se presenta el diseño y la fabricación de dos prototipos de microscopios fototérmicos adaptativos, cuyas prestaciones se validan mediante estudios sobre diversas muestras. La originalidad de los desarrollos propuestos reside en la capacidad de adaptarse automáticamente a la topografía de las muestras, logrando mediciones que no requieren alterar la naturaleza de las mismas. Se ha desarrollado un software de control con algoritmos de optimización propios con los cuales se modifican las posiciones de las lentes que componen a los sistemas ópticos de los equipos permitiendo la medición. Se desarrolló un lenguaje de programación diseñado para la confección de protocolos de alineación óptica y medición fototérmica, proporcionando así un enfoque altamente personalizado y adaptable a las necesidades experimentales. A su vez se ha desarrollado un simulador fototérmico que posee la capacidad de recrear los fenómenos térmicos y ópticos inherentes a la técnica de MFC, dando la posibilidad a estudiar el comportamiento de las señales fototérmicas bajo diversas situaciones y condiciones. En conjunto con los prototipos, estos avances permiten incorporar la técnica de MFC al ámbito de la caracterización de materiales, proveyendo una técnica no destructiva, que no requiere una preparación de la muestra a medir. The following thesis presents two new developments of equipment for the measurement of thermal diffusivity at micrometer scale on complex surfaces. The measurement, processing and documentation process is performed autonomously, without requiring operator intervention. The thermal diffusivity measurement technique, called “Confocal Photothermal Microscopy” (CPM) was developed in the Directed Beams Laboratory (Laboratorio de Haces Dirigidos) and allows the measurement of thermal diffusivity by means of two light beams of different wavelengths. The technique has high spatial resolution and is non-destructive. The design and fabrication of two innovative prototypes of adaptive photothermal microscopes are presented, whose performance is validated through studies on various samples. The originality of the proposed developments relies on the ability to automatically adapt to the topography of the samples, achieving measurements that do not require altering the nature of the samples. A control software has been developed with its own optimization algorithms with which the positions of the lenses that compose the optical systems of the equipment are modified, allowing the measurement. A programming language exclusively designed for the preparation of optical alignment and photothermal measurement protocols has been developed, thus providing a highly customized and adaptable approach to the experimental needs. At the same time, a photothermal simulator has been developed that has the capacity to recreate all the thermal and optical phenomena inherent to the CPM technique, giving the possibility to study the behavior of the photothermal signals under different situations and conditions. Together with the prototypes, these advances allow incorporating the CPM technique to the field of materials characterization, providing a non-destructive technique that does not require preparation of the sample to be measured. El trabajo de tesis propone una metodología para determinar la red eléctrica de distribución de baja tensión (BT) técnica y económicamente adaptada, en un escenario aleatorio de incorporación de generación distribuida fotovoltaica (GDFV). Una red es adaptada cuando está diseñada minimizando los costos totales (fijos y variables) y optimizando el equipamiento para satisfacer adecuadamente la demanda (tanto la demanda actual como su crecimiento esperado). El método propuesto, basado en la práctica habitual, incorpora el concepto de Hosting Capacity (HC) o Factor de Capacidad estadístico (FCE). Se toman como objeto de estudio redes de BT típicas del área metropolitana de Buenos Aires (AMBA). Las redes son resueltas mediante un flujo de potencia estadístico, tomando como variables aleatorias la demanda residencial, la penetración de GDFV y la potencia y localización de los generadores fotovoltaicos dentro de la red. Mediante esta metodología se obtiene el factor de capacidad estadístico (FCE), el cual es usado para realizar el estudio técnico-económico de la red. Finalmente se obtiene la red adaptada para cada nivel de penetración de GDFV. En este estudio es el usuario quien decide instalar en cualquier punto de la red una potencia de generación (menor o igual a su potencia contratada), con independencia de si esto es óptimo o no para la red. Esto implica la exclusión del costo de los generadores en el cómputo de la red, por considerárselo un factor exógeno a la planificación de red. Se trata de una mirada desde la perspectiva de la empresa distribuidora de energía, la cual debe establecer de antemano la red técnica y económicamente adaptada para cada posible estado de penetración de GDFV. The thesis work proposes a methodology to determine the technically and economically adapted low voltage (LV) electrical distribution network, in a random scenario of incorporating photovoltaic distributed generation (PVDG). A network is adapted when it is designed minimizing total costs (fixed and variable) and optimizing equipment to adequately meet demand (both current demand and its expected growth). The proposed method, based on common practice, incorporates the concept of Hosting Capacity (HC) or Statistical Capacity Factor (FCE). Typical LV networks of the metropolitan area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) are taken as the object of study. The networks are resolved by means of a statistical power flow, taking residential demand, PVDG penetration and the power and location of the photovoltaic generators within the network as random variables. Through this methodology, the statistical capacity factor (FCE) is obtained, which is used to carry out the technical-economic study of the network. Finally, the adapted network is obtained for each level of PVDG penetration. In this study, it is the user who decides to install generation power at any point in the network (less than or equal to their contracted power), regardless of whether or not this is optimal for the network. This implies the exclusion of the cost of the generators in the calculation of the network, as it is considered an exogenous factor to the planning of the network. This is a look from the perspective of the energy distribution company, which must establish in advance the technically and economically adapted network for each possible state of PVDG penetration. El descubrimiento de patrones de alto flujo de tráfico a partir de trayectorias de objetos móviles ha sido considerado mediante diferentes enfoques, entre los que podemos nombrar los modelos de basados en densidad, clusters móviles, clustering de trayectorias y modelos de patrones de tipo hot routes. Estos modelos presentan utilidad en diferentes áreas como planificación del transporte, monitoreo de tráfico, servicios de transporte (ridesharing), ubicación de locales comerciales y publicidad en la vía pública. Ejemplos más comunes son el análisis de los patrones obtenidos para identificar diferentes usos de la red vial y aplicar medidas de mejora o planificación correspondientes; o considerar las rutas relacionadas a los patrones de mayor frecuencia para establecer áreas preferenciales para la instalación de locales comerciales. Aunque diversos estudios tienden a reconocer la importancia de estos tipos de patrones en su utilidad, se pueden considerar determinadas particularidades no exploradas por los mismos, de las que podemos destacar tres. Primero, la existencia de congestiones de tráfico como una condición particular de alta densidad o flujo de tráfico. En este caso, los trabajos existentes tratan sobre el descubrimiento de cada situación (alto flujo y congestión de tráfico) de manera separada. Por otro lado, la disponibilidad de las tecnologías actuales para permitir obtener datos adicionales asociados a los objetos móviles o el viaje realizado, las cuales pueden mejorar el conocimiento aportado por los patrones descubiertos. Finalmente, las limitaciones inherentes a los datasets de trayectorias generados a partir de objetos móviles pueden resultar en una menor representatividad del conocimiento obtenido a partir de los diversos modelos desarrollados. El presente trabajo de Tesis propone el desarrollo de modelos de descubrimiento de hot routes orientados a considerar las particularidades observadas. En primer lugar, se presenta un modelo para el descubrimiento de patrones de alto flujo de tráfico en relación con congestiones de tráfico. Esta relación es representada en términos del tráfico compartido en común entre diferentes sectores de los patrones, permitiendo identificar situaciones de flujo de tráfico causantes de congestión. Este modelo es complementado con el descubrimiento de caminos alternativos al tráfico severo representado en los patrones descubiertos, los que dependen del nivel de tráfico y ubicación dentro de la red vial. Dependiendo de las condiciones de tráfico, los mismos son comúnmente buscados por los conductores al acercarse a un embotellamiento de tráfico, para poder atenuar los efectos de la congestión de tráfico. Por otro lado, se presenta, en segundo término, un modelo para el descubrimiento de patrones de alto flujo de tráfico descriptos semánticamente por datos de los objetos móviles o viajes asociados a las trayectorias. De esta manera, este segundo modelo propuesto enriquece los patrones de alto flujo de tráfico descubiertos aportando una descripción de las características de los objetos móviles o datos del viaje que forman parte de los patrones. Finalmente, se trabaja en las limitaciones en representatividad de los datasets de trayectorias mediante dos tratamientos: analizando el grado de limitación en los modelos presentados aplicando una métrica para medir la representatividad de los patrones descubiertos al usar datasets parciales; y, segundo, proponiendo un modelo que pueda usar la velocidad, complementado los valores de flujo de tráfico disponibles, para identificar condiciones de alto flujo de tráfico sin llegar a formarse congestión. Se comienza el trabajo mediante un análisis de la literatura existente respecto a trabajos relacionados e identificando determinados conceptos de base. Los trabajos relacionados se pueden ubicar en diferentes áreas como el descubrimiento de patrones de alto flujo o densidad de tráfico, análisis de congestiones o embotellamientos de tráfico, así como anomalías de tráfico, y diferentes modelos sobre el análisis de trayectorias semánticas. A continuación, se presentan los modelos propuestos junto a los algoritmos que permiten el descubrimiento de los patrones presentados. En la experimentación realizada se utilizan datasets reales. Dentro de la misma se describen los detalles de estos datasets y las implementaciones desarrolladas, junto al correspondiente procesamiento aplicado en cada caso para poder utilizar los mismos con los modelos presentados y los usados para comparar. Los resultados describen los patrones descubiertos en relación a diferentes elementos principales de las redes viales de los datasets o puntos de interés de las ciudades correspondientes, y muestran las ventajas de los patrones obtenidos en comparación con modelos relacionados o el uso de métodos alternativos. Asimismo, en base a las métricas obtenidas, las implementaciones desarrolladas de los algoritmos presentan buena performance de ejecución dado el volumen de datos utilizados. Los resultados presentados confirman la utilidad de los modelos propuestos en la mejora de las diferentes áreas de aplicación, como planificación de transporte, monitoreo de tráfico o selección de sitios. Asimismo, se pueden considerar casos de aplicación más recientes pero con amplias perspectivas de desarrollo futuro, como la automatización vehicular o ciudades inteligentes sostenibles. The discovery of high traffic flow patterns from moving objects trajectories has been considered using diverse approaches like models based on density, moving clusters, trajectory clustering and hot routes type models. These models have usefulness in different areas like transport planning, traffic monitoring, transport services (ridesharing), store locations and billboard placements. The most common examples are the analysis of the patterns obtained to identify different uses of the road network and apply appropriate improvement or planning measures; or considering the routes corresponding to the most frequent patterns to establish preferential areas for developing stores. Although various studies tend to recognize the importance of these types of patterns in terms of usefulness, certain particularities not considered by them can be recognized, of which we can highlight three. First, the existence of traffic congestion as a particular condition of high density or traffic flow. In this case, existing works deal with the discovery of each situation (high flow and traffic congestion) separately. On the other hand, the availability of current technologies to allow obtaining additional data associated with moving objects or the trip made, which can improve the knowledge provided by the discovered patterns. Finally, the limitations inherent to the datasets of trajectories generated from moving objects could lead to a lower representativeness of the knowledge obtained from the various models developed. The current Thesis work proposes the development of hot routes models oriented to consider the observed particularities. In the first place, a model for the discovery of high traffic flow patterns in relation to traffic congestion is presented. The relationship is represented in terms of the shared common traffic between different sectors of the patterns, making it possible to identify traffic flow situations that cause congestion. This model is complemented by the discovery of alternative paths to the extreme traffic represented in the discovered patterns, which depend on the traffic level and location inside the road network. Depending on the traffic conditions, these paths are commonly sought by the drivers when approaching a traffic jam, in order to mitigate the effects of traffic congestion. On the other hand, a model for the discovery of high traffic flow patterns semantically described by the moving objects or trip data associated with the trajectories is presented in second place. In this way, this second proposed model enrichs the high traffic flow patterns discovered providing a description of the moving objects or trip data characteristics that belong to those patterns. Finally, the representativeness limitations from trajectories datasets are considered using two approaches: analyzing the degree of limitation of the presented models applying a metric to measure the representativeness of the discovered patterns when using partial datasets; and second, proposing a model that allows to use speed, complemented with existing traffic flow values, to identify high traffic flow conditions where traffic congestion is not developed. The work starts with an analysis of existing literature with respect to related works and identifying specific base concepts. The related works can be classified in different areas like the discovery of patterns of high traffic flow or traffic density, analysis of traffic congestion or traffic jams, in addition to traffic anomalies, and different models about the analysis of semantic trajectories. Next, the proposed models along with the algorithms that allow the discovery of the patterns are presented. In the experimentation made, real datasets are used. Inside these sections, details about the datasets and the developed implementations are described, along with the respective processing applied on each case in order to be used with the presented models and the models used for comparison. The results describe the discovered patterns related to different main elements of the road networks of the datasets or point of interest of the respective cities, and show the advantages of the discovered patterns in comparison to related models or the use of alternative methods. In addition, based on the obtained metrics, the developed implementations of the algorithms have good performance execution given the volume of the data. The presented results confirm the usefulness of the proposed models in improving the different application areas, like transport planning, traffic monitoring or site selection. At the same time, more recent application cases with a wide perspective of future development can be considered, like driving automation or sustainable smart cities.
